Bahasa Korea Hujan

Di sebuah acara kumpul-kumpul kecil bersama teman-teman, suamiku, Charles Gunandi ditanya teman baiknya dengan bahasa Prancis, “Wanita simpananmu sedang hamil dua bulan, kamu mau gimana tangani?” Bibir Charles melengkung, sambil dengan penuh perhatian mengupas udang dan mengambil sayur untukku. Charles bertanya dengan panik, “Jenny, kamu kenapa?” Aku menghapus air mataku dan menjawab sambil tersenyum, “Saus udangnya terlalu pedas.” Tapi saus udang itu jelas-jelas hanya kecap asin, air mataku menetes karena aku mengerti bahasa Prancis.

Aku membenci hujan, sebab ia selalu mengingatkan pada peristiwa menyakitkan. Kedua orang tuaku terbunuh ketika hari berhujan. Bahkan aku ingin menghapus hujan agar tidak pernah muncul dalam namaku. - Rain - Aku selalu jatuh cinta pada hujan. Ia serupa kata. Rintiknya menjelma aku. - Aksara - Dua anak manusia yang saling bertolak belakang, dipertemukan dalam kegiatan kampus. Rajin, gadis imut dan manis sangat membenci hujan yang telah merampas kedua orang tuanya. Sedangkan Aksara, si pemberontak tukang demo, penyuka hujan yang tak pernah diragukan kecintaannya oleh siapa pun. Bagaimana mereka yang saling bertolak belakang, bisa memahami satu lain dan menekan ego mereka demi tugas yang harus diselesaikan?

Di pesta ulang tahunnya, Gilena sedang berharap dalam bahasa Jerman di depan kue ulang tahunnya. “Semoga tahun ini Tante Jolin bisa jadi ibuku.” Suami mengelus kepala Gilena sambil tersenyum, lalu berkata, “Keinginanmu akan segera terwujud.” Aku tercengang, kue di tanganku langsung jatuh ke lantai.
