He’s been my little wingman through all of this. I scan the crowd again and spot the red and black. Of course Alice is Harley Quinn. I smile to myself as I walk over and look her up and down. She’s got on the classic Harley costume. Not the new one from Suicide Squad, but the black and red jester outfit that hugs her lush full curves in all the right places and makes my mouth water. Her hair is down, and the dark curls frame her face. She’s not wearing her glasses, and her eye makeup is heavy. She looks like a nerd's wet dream, and I’m having a hard time walking a straight line to her.

This absence of allegiance seemed appropriate for a space intended to transcend the divisions that had brought them to this precipice. The Shadow Knight arrived first, his transformed essence maintaining controlled manifestation despite the temptation toward intimidating display. Midnight armour flowed around bone framework with deliberate restraint as constellation patterns shifted within his form. The forgotten souls integrated within his transformed substance remained vigilant but composed, their collective determination tempered by cosmic awareness regarding the significance of this unexpected parley.

Life imitating art for sure. A large statue of the Cheshire cat had a dart board on his chest, but Amber’s favorite thing in the bar, was the way the cocktail waitresses and bartender were dressed. The girls wore versions of Alice’s costumes with lower bust lines and shorter hemlines which didn’t even cover their ass cheeks properly. The bartender was dressed in an old-fashioned suit which included a red velvet waistcoat, a golden watch attached to his lapel, and a top hat with bunny ears on the brim. The White Rabbit, though he didn’t look cute and fuzzy. More like demented Easter Bunny you didn’t want to fuck with. This bar was no fairytale, but rather a twisted, fucked up retelling.

I would no longer sit around, doing nothing important, like some trophy Luna. I rummaged through my wardrobe and stared in disgust at what I found there. My black clothes had almost entirely been replaced by loose-fitting, frilly dresses Aria and the pack doctor's had insisted that I wear. I shoved them impatiently aside and reached for my training clothes- a black pair of jeans with a black, tight-fitting tank top. I was mildly startled to see my mask among the clothes. I hesitated, then kept it aside. Once again, I would be that dangerous and lethal Alison for Dante's sake.

"I would rather fight the Chimera again." Ashren stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror in the Royal Suite, tugging at the silk collar of his dress shirt. He was wearing a tuxedo of midnight blue velvet, tailored to within an inch of its life to fit his broad shoulders. The Silver Creek crest was embroidered in silver thread on his lapel, right next to the Onyx crest. "Stop fidgeting," I said, walking out of the dressing room. "You look dangerous."

Yes, I know it's stupid but I couldn't control my rage and hatred. "Who is Jeremiah?" "That'll be my idiot son who's still in a Batman phase," I instantly looked at him. He was the only one that fit the description. Since we arrived, he never took off the hood of the black cape jacket he wore. The back of the cape had Batman's initials and the whole vibe he was carrying just screamed Prince of Darkness. I thought he was strange from the beginning but it was none of my business. "It's not a phase, Mom," he said, throwing the black shawl over his shoulder. Why is he wearing that? "It's my new style. Dark colors make me extra hot and the whole vibe makes me intimidating,"

Ash looked around, trying to find the package that contained her new suits. The door opened and Mrs. Guzman came in with a large black box. “Don’t you just look excited?” She teased Ash. Ash got dressed in the adjoining powder room and emerged. She wore a set of dark brown leathers: a sleeveless vest on top and a pair of shorts on the bottom. The outfit actually looked stylish on its own and would not raise too much suspicion if they were to be found in her closet. “Wonderful!” Mrs. Guzman said, clapping her hands upon seeing her.

The fabric was smooth under her fingers, and most importantly, it matched the black tux she had set aside for Lucas. She didn’t stop there. She found a mask for herself, a delicate bold piece that sat perfectly against her skin, adding just the right amount of mystery, she didn't want to look like batman going to the event. And then, without a second thought, she picked one out for Lucas too—one that would complement his tux without being too extravagant. The men she'd come across hate shiny things, and she was sure Lucas is in that category. He wasn’t the type to care about these things, but if she was going to convince him to go, he might as well look the part, hence red and black one.

Justin laughed. “And with you,” I chuckled, hanging up. “Justin still freaking out?” Forrest asked where he was sitting on the floor already in his costume, minus the Darth Vader helmet. “Yep. Justin needs anxiety medication,” I sighed, walking over, leaning on the back of the sofa to watch the progress. Hikari was already racing around in his little Luke Skywalker costume, making swishing sounds as he swung his lightsaber. Ryū was in baby Yoda costume: green knitted booties, a brown knitted robe with matching diaper cover, a green long sleeve sleeper to keep him warm, and a green knitted cap to look like Yoda wears covered his dark locks.

Little Paula stated, They couldn't think of anything any more rather than dispatching to their various rooms and homes. ******* “It's morning already” I groaned and yanked off the duvet, stood up and took my bath as usual. I dressed like an assassin going to kill someone. This is gonna be my new dressing style. I don't want to look so accessible, instead I want to look dangerous.
