The shelves stretched to the ceiling, filled with books that looked like they hadn’t been touched in years. I walked slowly between the rows, running my fingers along the shelves until I found the section on werewolf history. I grabbed a few thick books that looked promising and carried them to a quiet corner table near the window. The light was soft there, golden and peaceful. I let out a breath and opened the first book, skimming through chapters on bloodlines, first shifts, pack traditions… stuff I probably should have known already. I’d only read a few pages when someone pulled out the chair across from me.

The binding was long since cracked, but holding the book with both hands, she laid it on a nightstand and scanned the table of contents. The book was so old that its words appeared in someone’s handwriting. Not unusual for books about werewolves that contained facts and not nonsense. They didn’t need many copies and the dangers of a printed book going astray and escaping into the wild, then finding its way into the hands of a human increased if they published them in mass quantities.

It was for the new wolves to know and follow certain rules. "Maybe it might have something to do with how to break it." She said , flipping the book. It was a book with a lot of tiny writing. She flipped it for some time, until she got bored. She was about to drop it when something caught her attention.

She immediately walls into a corner to change for the big game. She began to evolve into her real self. Her fingernails and toenails grow more longer. He skin became more pale. Her fangs grew. It is unusually longer than others. Hers seem special but no one noticed. Her eyes changed into a red fiery colour.
