Can't See But Feel

Can't See But Feel

I whined because I was so embarrassed while he laughed at me. "Hate pollutes the mind." He quoted again and I whimpered. "Next time, pay attention!" He stated, giving me a look. "If we’re quoting Shakespeare, I want to add one." I scoffed crossing my arms on my chest. He motioned his hand to tell me to go on. "Hell is empty and all the devils are here." I spat angrily but it only amused him more and clapped for me as if saying ‘bravo.’ "I hate you... go to hell!" I scowled and grabbed my bag to leave the room. When I was at the door he spoke again.

Fear of Loss

Fear of Loss

I know mom. Mom I want to say you something from quote. I know you loved literature that’s why I’m dedicating you the quote of George Eliot. “Our dead are never dead to us, until we have forgotten them.” —Emma. I turn the next page to read but it’s empty. I haven’t wrote anything after that. I again started crying. My whole life seems empty and I want to write a diary again because I’m in pain. The pain inside me is at the highest peak. I grab the pen from my bag and open diary to write.

Unintentionally chased

Unintentionally chased

He crossed his arms while narrowing his eyes at me. Time passed while playing, laughing and revealing a few things about each other which made me late for the office. Just thinking about it gives me a weird feeling. •••••••••••••• 'Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see'. ~Mark Twain. I used this quote in my poem. H.LOCKHART.

Until I Wrote Him

Until I Wrote Him

She cleared her throat, over-enunciating as though performing Shakespeare at the Globe Theatre. “Love isn’t patient, love isn’t kind… it’s fire, and it burns everything it touches.” She looked at me expectantly, starry-eyed. I wanted to slide under the table and melt into the floor. Was this real life? Was I being forced to quote my own tortured prose like a trained parrot? “Um.” My voice cracked. “Yes, that… that does sound like something I wrote.” “It is!” another boy shouted. “Page two seventy-three, right after the betrayal scene! I highlighted it!”

MY SECOND CHANCE HUSBAND

MY SECOND CHANCE HUSBAND

"I think you are scared. Love can be a raging sea or a thirst-quenching glass of water, and we never know. But I know one thing, darling. Your best chance is to try." "Is this your best council?" I let out a weak laugh. "Believe me, the worst catchphrases are a succinct summary of life" "I give up trying to understand the female mind" "But do not give up on your girl. Talk about what's wrong until it's right and in a few years you'll be laughing when you remember it"

Carry My Child, Miss Laurier

Carry My Child, Miss Laurier

He allowed his name to be forgotten. Students told me he was the most extraordinary man they’d ever encountered. He had seemed not quite of this world, they said. He seemed to live in a state of uninterrupted marvel, and he encouraged them to do the same. He didn’t so much teach them how to write poetry, they said, but why: because of delight. Because of stubborn gladness. He told them that they must live their most creative lives as a means of fighting back against the ruthless furnace of this world.

Charlotte's Search

Charlotte's Search

Those are too sharp, too edgy for me to share. So, I flip through the pages, to find something appropriate. And something to lighten the mood. "'I came, I saw, she conquered.' The original Latin seems to have been garbled." Beth raises a hand to her mouth. Richard guffaws, slapping a hand on his knee. "Ain't that the truth." Their reaction seems a bit overplayed.... But they're trying to smooth things too.... I find another quote. "Take big bites. Anything worth doing is worth overdoing."

Teaching her a lesson

Teaching her a lesson

Canon English 12 Period 6 2 June, 2020 "There is a time in every man's education when he arrives at the conviction that envy is ignorance; that imitation is suicide; that he must take himself for better, for worse, as his portion." - R.W. Emerson The essay from which this is excerpted, "Self Reliance," might be the only old-timey thing we ever read in class that actually spoke to me, so I am going to quote the hell out of it. I didn't really get it at first, another lame nonfiction piece my teacher tried to make us read. When I heard that quote, though, and once I followed what Emerson was saying, it was like he was in my soul. I think he's been in there for a longer time than I would have e

This book although taboo, brilliantly done. Original content and vividly described. Well paced. Thoroughly enjoyed and Im not even done with it yet. 30 chapters left. Def worth the read and def should be rated higher. Must be cuz of the subject matter though.

Really well-written, and very hot! It is so nice to read a book on one of these platforms without egregious spelling and grammatical errors! It lists this book as ongoing, but there haven’t been updates in a while. I would love more!

All the Feels

All the Feels

I will miss our trips to the nearby pool, We'd rather read books there and pretend to be cool, I want to say goodbye one more time and cry with one more kiss, Goodbye, my mother, it's you I will forever miss, When the storms fill my eyes, and all the feels make me cry, I'll remember your sweet lullabies as I say, 'Goodbye. Jeremy leaves the microphone, and everyone next to me pats my back. I never knew what to say at funerals. Poems were the only words that made sense to me. Of course, they don't make sense to other people, but to me, that poem wasn't for them. The sparrow in the tree spreads its wings and flies out into the clouds. I know deep down that's the last time I will ever see that

I-SHIRLEY

I-SHIRLEY

While a maid fetched a beer, Peter noticed that one of the wall monitors at the far end of the room had a shot of Gil's office. Cameras everywhere. Peter took the beer and considered doffing his cap but kept it on-damned if he did, damned if he didn't. "An honest man is the noblest work of God," Kemp said suddenly. "Alexander Pope wrote that. Cheers!" Kemp clinked his wineglass against Peter's beer flute. "You have
