Though a Mirror Darkly

Though a Mirror Darkly

“No doubt.” “What about those two small FedEx boxes?” “Most recent novels from Samhain Horror.” “Awesome. Those books I bought at the Webb County Library sale last week?” “Sorted into general and mystery fiction. Struck the mother lode with all those Mary Higgins Clark novels.” “We cater to all tastes, miss. Unless you like Twilight, 50 Shades of Gray or James Patterson. Folks want drivel, they can drive to Utica.” “Hey. I actually liked Twilight. It wasn’t all bad.”

Mysteries Next Door

Mysteries Next Door

That’s what saved you from ending up like those other poor guys. I just grinned and tapped my nose. Sitting alone at the kitchen table, I popped open a pack of ramen and flicked on the TV. "Today, our city was rocked by a spree of break-ins and murders, all targeting rich single men. The cops cracked the case wide open, rounding up a whole gang of suspects.” As I listened to the news anchor's report, I could not help but think there was some truth to the saying that after the storm is when the flowers bloomed.

Succubus in your Dreams

Succubus in your Dreams

he asked. “Not one single. He is writing a series, about this Israeli spy, who has been brought back by the Mossad and a psychic girl along side him who are solving the crimes whose trails have gone cold. The Melitov Series is the one that I like. There are seven books till now which have been released. The eighth one is going to come soon enough….next week and I cannot wait,” I said as I clasped my hands and rubbed them like an excited school girl. “Great! Since you are speaking such nice terms about this new author, I shall take a look at him,” said the man.

The Mysterious Affair

The Mysterious Affair

"I've locked myself out of my car, and my cell phone is in it. Can you give me a hand?" "I'd call hospital security, that should be able to open the car for you" "That would be great. Thanks". The man smiled again moving closer, his green eyes feverishly bright. "It's just one of those days, you know?" "Yeah" Dan pulled the cell phone from his pocket, pressing numbers without losing eye contact. There was nothing in the other man's gaze, just an intensity that Dan had seen in another city in another country in what sometimes felt like another lifetime. "Once a day starts badly. It just keeps getting worse," the man said, his muscles tightening, giving his intentions away as he reached beneat

ARRANGED MARRIAGE TO A RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE

ARRANGED MARRIAGE TO A RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE

I replied, "but I’ve never been one to watch the way horses walk. It's not my thing. Maybe it’s yours." She playfully gave me the finger and kept talking. "When I was younger, my favorite books were the Chestnut Hill series! Well, not my favorites of all time—that was definitely Nancy Drew." "Fuck Nancy Drew!" I didn't realize I’d said it out loud until she slapped my arm and frowned. "Nancy Drew will forever be the best mystery series, hands down. It’s iconic." "Okay, crazy lady. But I think the Hardy Boys were much better. Nancy Drew always has the same storyline. You can predict exactly what’s going to happen. There’s never anything new."

Detective Casie Blackwood and the Moonlit Secrets

Detective Casie Blackwood and the Moonlit Secrets

Casie felt the familiar weight of her service weapon at her hip—a grounding reminder that despite everything that had happened, she was still a cop with a job to do. "Mendoza always did have uncanny timing with case assignments," she admitted, pressing the button for the top floor. "I thought it was just good instincts." "Good instincts, or supernatural intelligence networks?" Nathaniel asked, his businessman's mind already working through the implications. "If the Council has been monitoring supernatural crimes through human law enforcement, how deep does this go?" Rick's newly awakened senses picked up on Casie's spike of anxiety before she consciously felt it herself. Through their bond,

But I haven't been able to make up my mind about it yet, so I'm still on the fence. "Web novels?" Miranda repeated in surprise. "What kind of web novels?" Mindy smiled awkwardly. "Urban romance." Miranda was speechless for a while. Mindy was a published mystery novelist. Back when mystery novels had been all the craze, Mindy made her grand debut with "Murder Weapon" and sold half a million copies. Later in the same year, her follow-up thriller novel, "The Deserted School", broke her personal sales record in a very short time as well.

Maan C
This is a good book. I enjoyed reading it. It’s been a week now with no new chapters. At least end the book with an ending instead of just left it hanging. It’s getting more interesting & I know the readers would like to continue reading it. You know the feeling without closure, no satisfaction.......

A Desk Full of Mysteries

Jessi speaks with all certainty, and it is possible to realize that he is not bluffing. "If you believe that. But why invade, why not just ask my father? Our families never had business before but we don’t have rixas" Nathan "Why don’t you ask him?" Jessi "What? Ask him?" Nathan "That’s right. Oh what’s Nathan? You really think I’d hack into your system by myself. He gave me all access. Can you imagine what the stockholders would think if they knew that? I can say it was much more than that and they would believe, after all the trust has already been broken. If you dare to hurt Hanna and I forget everything your father did for us and I end you, you understand Nathan?" Jessi

Love, Money, and Lies (A Series of Secrets 2)

“We’ve been tracking you for two months.” “Yeah, a little birdy told us about you.” Fuck! Morris’s head slumped forward. “I’m Detective Harris, and this is my partner, Detective Menendez. Maybe we can do a deal. See you’re small potatoes considering the big fish we want,” the cop with the light brown hair began. “We want your supplier and . . . we also need information on the bank robbery.” “I don’t know nothin’ about a bank robbery,” he mumbled. “That’s not what the FBI thinks,” Detective Menendez said. “You bought that Mustang off of a woman who is suspected to be involved in the Federal Reserve Bank robbery. The FBI believes that this woman has ties to the SunBeam Savings and Loan job, to
