There's one universal truth I'll never question: fictional men are a gazillion times better than real ones. The real problem is that Paul definitely resembles a main character. Well, when he snarls and looks at me like this, more like the main antagonist, that would suit him better. Even if he sometimes seems like a nice guy, I'll certainly not make him my hero.

Fantasy sold perfection. But reality? Reality gave them something deeper. Trust. Repair. Emotional intimacy. Adrian looked toward the paused movie thoughtfully. “I don’t think dramatic love stories ever show what happens afterward.” God.

The main character was in a fight scene now, taking on multiple opponents with impressive choreography. I watched, letting the action pull me back in. Julian's hand moved in slow circles on my shoulder, soothing and grounding. The fight scene ended with the hero victorious and I found myself actually interested in what happened next. "Better?" Julian asked quietly. "Yes." I nodded. The movie continued and I managed to stay present, to actually enjoy the ridiculous plot and impressive special effects. By the time the credits rolled, I felt more relaxed than I had all evening. "That was good," I said, stretching as the lights came up.

Opal leaned back and raised the footrest to her chair, unfolding her legs out in front of her. "I actually liked this movie. There were no cringy scenes like in Ginger Snaps, and in the 'dead' Twilight series. The CGI was on par, and they used beautiful actors/actresses for the characters." She perched up, her eyes flashing to me in acknowledgement of what I witnessed with Su. "You ask us a lot, but here's a question for you." Opal directed it towards Su, catching her off guard. "Are all werewolves gorgeous in their human forms?" She challenged.

Victor was interested as he asked questions. “Okay, now I see why people prefer this over work,” Victor commented as one finished. “Its entertainment value is great.” “Wait till you see my favourite.” He was ready to watch another, and honestly I still had no call or even a message from Ronan, so I thought another hour of distraction would do the trick. I loved the Marvel movies. I didn’t even rest in his arms; I was on my own while Victor was on the villains’ side and I supported the heroes.

When I didn't I let out a groan and slammed my laptop shut. Why can't I find one decent movie on N*****x ? All the movies I've watched so far have fucked up characters with fucked up lives. I have a fucked up life. I don't want to be watching about someone else that has a fucked up life too. I want to watch a movie that has a character in it that has a normal life. Because, frankly I don't know what a normal life would entail. Suddenly, my phone vibrated. I looked to see who it was. Rose was calling.

“Marvel or DC?” I look to my left. A kid around my age, chubby, glasses, short hair. “What?” I responded. He points at my Spider-man comic. “I think DC has better characters and tells better stories.” He says. I stay quiet and just stare at him. “You don’t talk much do you?” I take a moment to say something. “I’m more of a Marvel fan. Mostly because of Spider-man. He’s cool.” I say. “He is cool. Okay next question. Who would win in a race, Flash or Quicksilver?”

I scoff. "Well kind of. But the main character- "Is a good match too" I interrupt. "But with the second main lead I feel like she loves him more but the writers of the movie are just making this way difficult for us" I hear Evans laugh. "You're good" He nods, "You must be a good romantic" I roll my eyes "Doubt it" "Why, you don't think you are?" "I don't think I am. Movies make it easy, but I think I just get jealous and act like a child in real life."

At that moment, all she could focus on was the stunning beauty that had just had everyone’s head turning. Lauren truly knew how to make a grand entrance as she owned the crowd’s attention. “She’s truly a star,” Jenny commented, just pointing out the obvious. Compared to them, Lauren had already proven herself to the world. She was not just a trust fund baby. But she managed to make a name for herself through her acting abilities. Honestly, she wished she could say that Lauren sucks, but that would be a lie. Nevertheless, Lauren’s characters in the movies were far more acceptable and friendly than in her real life.
