Big Pumpkin Book Read Aloud Novels & Stories

I wandered through the aisles, running my fingers along the spines, feeling a sense of belonging I hadn't felt in a long time. I spent the whole day there, completely lost among the books, reading story after story until I lost track of time. One book caught my attention "The Adventures of Sir Flufftail" a ridiculous but absolutely hilarious story about a brave and very dramatic rabbit knight who went on quests to save stolen carrot cakes from mischievous squirrels.

* “Pokka’s little body floated gently toward the window. The flame inside Rin’s lantern went out. “‘We shared so many wonders tonight. I’ll see you again next year.’ “With a soft little thunk, Pokka turned back into a tiny pumpkin. “Ruu meowed. “Rin was no longer afraid of Halloween. “‘The things I feared have become my friends,’ she thought. “And as she gazed up at the night sky, she drifted off to sleep. “The end.” The children had listened in complete silence, thoroughly absorbed in the story. Now they all began talking at once. “Halloween isn’t scary!” “I’m not afraid of ghosts either!” I watched them with a smile. Then I raised my head and caught a brief glimpse of a tall man standing i

Yet he was going to choose her. The asshole was fucking going to choose her. It was more pain than my heart could handle, more pain than I wanted to go through more pain than I deserved to receive for simply loving him. "Look at that one! Look at that one!"Aiden's excited scream cut through my thoughts. I watched as he and Abby raced and struggled to get to the biggest pumpkin in the patch. "I got it first," Abby screamed, holding on to it as firmly as her small hands could carry.

he asked, smiling. Anthony, the more outgoing of Jade’s twins, selected a colorful farm story. He opened the book with careful hands and began reading in his clear five-year-old voice. “The little pig… ran across the… field to find his… mummy. He… oinked and… oinked until she… came.” Kai nodded. “Nice and clear. Keep going.” Anthony finished the page with only one soft stumble. Kai offered a high-five. “Excellent work.” Connor went next, choosing a story about a lost puppy searching for home. He spoke more slowly, concentrating hard.

"It looks it's about a baby who can't wait to be born, or… I don't know. It sounds weird when I say that. It looks cute though." "Let me see." She takes it out of my hand and begins reading through it. "Aw. This is really cute. Wait." She starts giggling and reading outloud. "He started moving down. At first he moved slowly but then he moved fast. What a great ride down the slide! It was fun!" "Why are you laughing?" "That was apparently Peanut's version of being born." "Really?" I take the book back and read through that page. "I'm gonna guess that's not the way his mom remembers it."

What I got was a blessing that deserves to be cherished, it was a gift from above that needs my pure care, love and attention. Seconds later, I decided to do my night routine, took a half-bath and applied some skincare to my face and body. Once all done, I sat on the bed, leaned against the headboard and took the children’s book Hail gave me earlier, it was originally her niece’s favorite bedtime storybook but then, her niece eventually lost interest in it and gone invested into playing games in her iPad instead. That’s actually saddening. Oh, growing kids nowadays… “That’s why when you come out, little muffin, please don’t grow too fast. The world is cruel when you’re old enough, you tend t

“So. What did you find?” “Well,” he said, swelling up with pride, “it’s a story. An old legend, about this good vampire that helped people, and had healing powers.” As he spoke, he bent beneath to table to dig around in his backpack. Slowly, reverently, he pulled out an ancient tome, and placed it gently on the table next to the pumpkin.

I moved her hair out of her face smiling at her, she looked adorable with her flushed cheeks. "Good morning pumpkin, had a nice nap?" I ask still playing with her hair. "Mhmm. I did," she says still leaning against me until she remembered something and jumps up. "What did my boss say? Is she gonna punish me in other ways now since I can't do long hours?" she says remembering that she made her sort the books by herselfbecause she missed a couple of days at work.

Why'd he have to look so good? I looked down at the books he had given me. There were five total and I realized that I had never read any of these to Nate. I looked at the first one and turned it over, reading the back. A little boy that encounters a giant in the forest. The little boy uses his quick thinking and courage to escape the giant and return to his family. Being back home, he realizes the love and security of his family are all the support and strength that he needs and that knowing his family is there for him, he can face any fears. It seemed to really fit not only the situation tonight but also the bond that Nate and I had so that was the one that I selected.

She opened it; the familiar smell of paper and ink wafted up, and she began to read the story, her voice weaving through the words like a soothing lullaby in the cozy glow of the room. “Once upon a time, there lived a pig mummy and her three little pigs. One day, when the little pigs were hungry, their Mummy pig went into the kitchen to prepare their meal, but she found there was no food; she checked her wallet, and all her money was gone too.” “Oh, no…” Alexandre said, and Reina smiled and continued.
