Nethanaiah’s POV I remembered the last time I saw him, some centuries ago, his eyes were of eerie steel grey colour. And now, when his eyes opened widely in a sudden and sharp spasm, his irises combusted in neon lava, no traces of his usual steel grey colour that I remembered.

Evelyn noticed a subtle change in his eyes, a dull, dark red color flaring around the edges of his black pupils. "I'll make it change." Irzey stared at her and repeated the words again, as if reciting some ancient incantation. "I'll make it change." ...... ...... Evelyn opened her eyes suddenly, breathing erratically and gasping slightly as she stared blankly up at the high ceiling, only to feel the dreamy, slightly scary looking eyes belonging to Irzey staring straight back at her even at this very moment. She let out a long breath, turned her face sideways, and bumped into a turquoise eye.

When Amalthea glanced at her mother for reassurance, she found that Arethusa was glaring at the fire essence, not appreciating his method and the tone of his voice. Amalthea laughed at the sight of her mother with all of his heart. “Amalthea!” the fire king exclaimed. Phosphorus and Hesperus were just opening their eyes. And to everyone’s ultimate surprise, their eyes were so unique yet so identical at the same time, the iris had three colors, Black on the outside, blue in the middle, and white right next to the black pupil. Arethusa gasped in shock, and both of the babies became uneasy, the fire essence gave her a meaningful look.

As he looked closely, he could see that her left eye was a beautiful shade of gunmetal blue and there were some swirls of hazel in it too but it was dominated by the grey-blue. While her right eye was hazel in color with some swirls of blue in it but dominated by the hazel. Her eyes were really unique.

Through the flickering fire torches surrounding us light did spill into the guard nook. My eyes wandered upwards again and I saw a straight nose leading to deep black eyebrows with unruly locks of jet black hair coming down to his jawline. His eyes though, made me lose my breath, the deepest of brown, like molten chocolate, almost black but those sparks of purple that flew through his iris were mesmerising. Wait if his eyes are flashing that means he's emotional about us, what does he want with us Fyre paced around my mind. He can't want to hurt us, not with what was pressed up against my leg before.

' Beautiful,' my lycan was lost in her gaze, and so was I. She was truly enchanting, with platinum-white curls framing her face. She seemed so ethereal.

So familiar, but exotic in a way I couldn't even begin to explain. I just stood, staring out the door like an absolute idiot, taking in the God at my doorstep. I couldn't take my eyes off his own. A deep-set swirling violet tinted with the darkest ebony black was confined to the irises of his eyes. It almost trapped me, like hands made from the illusory magic that seemed to pull me in.

The one who could not be killed, even in death. Iris. A beautiful woman, a stunning Lycan, a gorgeous being of impeccable stature. Her deep raven hair and shocking green eyes made the biggest of men cower, and her posture alone could make children whimper at the sight of her. But that wasn't who she was. She was caring. She was endearing, charming and the fetch of every wolf to have ever walked the Earth.
