Blurry Eyes When I Wake Up Novels & Stories

I woke up in the medical centre. Blinking blearily, it took me a while to return to myself. My vision was blurred, hazy streaks of light and dark and other things, colourful things that I could not yet truly recognise, spun together and made my temples throb.

When I wake up, my vision is blurry and my head is groggy. I feel nauseous and cold. I don't know where I am. I try to open my eyes to get a better look around, only for my stomach to somersault. I begin to dry heave, using what little strength I have not to throw up. I lean back and feel my back rest against a cold wall. I lean my head back slowly, allowing my stomach to settle before I try to open my eyes once more. After several minutes, I feel the nausea begin to settle, so I try to open my eyes once more.

IRIS I wake up because something is shaking. Not gentle shaking, like when Mommy tries to wake me up for school and says, “Rise and shine, sleepyhead.” This is rough. Like someone grabbed my shoulder and moved me too fast. My head hurts. My eyes feel sticky. My mouth tastes like when I forget to brush my teeth after eating candy. Everything is blurry. Everything is loud.

I mumble, words slurring. "Something's wrong." "Your wound will hurt for a while," he replies patiently. I shake my head weakly. "It's a trick," I whisper. "I think it's a trick." "A trick?" I nod even though my eyes are already closing again. "We'll talk about it when you feel better. Sleep." When I wake up later, I force myself out of bed immediately before the fog of sleep drags me back under. I splash cold water on my face and stare at my reflection. My blue eyes actually look brighter.

I feel light touch, I open my eyes, and to my surprise, I see my hands, I start to panic, What's going on? I see someone approaching me, a man with rich grey hair, he stops in front of me and snaps his fingers, my eyes widen "Father?", he smiles at me, my eyes gather tears and I hug him "Oh father, I was so scared, I thought I lost you" tears freely flow down my face, I use my hand to wipe the tears, I wear a bright smile " I can see your face, isn't that great! I don't know what's happening" He touches my face and kisses me on my forehead, suddenly everything becomes blurry "What's this?, why can't I see you anymore?" I stretch my hands "Father!, father!" I cried out "Father!...."

Waking up with an excruciating headache, Aiden tried to recollect what happened that made him wake up in pain. Everything was blurry in his mind, making his head throbbed more in pain just trying to catched up with the memory of last night. He rolled on his bed to get up but the sudden heat on his stomach and throat made him sit down. He waited for a minute and kept his feet going to the bathroom. While peeing, he almost jumped out noticing how troubled his face was. Heavy eyebags, red eyes that could chase away anyone who’ll see him, some red stains on his lips up to his left cheeks, purple marks just right down in his jaw.

I yelled, but as he was about to hold my arms again, my vision suddenly started to become blurry and my head couldn't stop spinning. I was losing my mind and in no time, everything turned blank. ****** My eyes fluttered as the rays of the light shone on my face. I tried to get up, but the heavy ache in my head forced me to lie back on the bed. I shut my eyes tight as I was trying to remember what had happened before. I suddenly remembered everything and my body abruptly stood up, like it wasn't just having a headache some while ago. "You're awake!" The cold voice softly rang across my room, making me flinch at the sound of it.

Her eyes and face were swollen and puffy from all the episodes of tears she had the previous day. “Rise and shine baby girl,” I said softly while nudging her gently. She was out cold. I decided to let her be and get some rest. As I stood up, I felt a throbbing pain behind my head. It made me dizzy and my vision blurry for a moment.

I fixated my eyes on the woods in the lobby, looking at nothing in particular, until my eyes became unfocused, blurry and. And were these tears?
