Blurry Eyes When I Wake Up Novels & Stories

My eyes fluttered open, my blurry vision gradually sharpening. I groaned over my head groggily until my sense started to come back. “Wait!!” My eyes snapped wide open. I looked over my body, I was in my pyjamas. A great relief washed over my body seeing I was surrounded by posters and pictures I hung on the wall of my room. But... what happened? My head ached so badly, I could only recall vague pictures from last night, everything else to me was like a blur.

I softly groaned as my head throbbed in pain. I opened my eyes slowly, and at first, I felt like everything was blurry. 'What happened? Did I lose my eyesight?' I started to feel panic while my heart beat fast. I was scared that I closed my eyes again. I slightly massage my eyes. Then, open it again. Finally, I could see a flash of light and the room where I was sleeping came to view. I could feel the rays of the sun hitting my eyes while the wind gently blew on my face. Then, I remembered what had happened.

I was too tired. I would try to find my blurry and missing memories when I woke up. ***** A mild beeping sound woke me up. I shifted a little and a groan slipped past my lips. I paused so my body could get used to the position I was in before opening my eyes. I was not seeing any red in my vision. White and blue walls came into my sight. Minimal decorations spiced the room up. It wasn't ostentatious but it kept the room from being bland.

Beep. Beep. Beep. A loud noise awakens me, but disappears as soon as I open my eyes. My vision remains blurry and I swear that I can see a lab room with doctors bustling about surrounding me. My limbs feel heavy and weak. Then I blink and am back in the same bed I woke up in yesterday. I sit up, rubbing my eyes. Nothing has changed when I open them again. I am still sitting in bed covered by my navy blue comforter. My desk stands opposite my bed in the right corner of the room. Both my closet door and bathroom door hang open the way that I usually leave them.

I could feel the exhaustion seeping into my bones, making it harder and harder to stay awake. My vision began to blur, and the words on the pages of my book started to dance around, making it impossible to focus on them. I rubbed my eyes, hoping to clear them, but it didn't help. It was as if a veil had been drawn over my eyes, making everything hazy and indistinct.

~CLAIRE~ A persistent beeping sound roused me awake. I slowly opened my eyes. Everything was blurry, a mix of colours. It took me a moment to realize I didn't have my glasses on. I tried to sit up, but my head ached terribly. I groaned, turning away from the harsh light shining through the window. Where was I? A door opened suddenly and I jerked upright. My head protested, aching badly. Someone stepped into the room and I squinted hard, trying to make out the blurry face.

The moment she woke up, her vision was so blurred that she could hardly see a figure. At that time, the old doctor comforted her that it was normal and that she would recover soon. I raised my hands and attempted to ease the pain by massaging my temples but it didn't work.
