Before she could start bugging me with questions, I promised to call her later in the evening and then I stopped the call. I was already running late and I hated tardiness. As I stepped out of the gate, I saw a matt black car approaching me. Only one person in the whole of Bamenda had that car and I knew exactly who. Bamenda was a small town where everyone knew everyone or at least one or two people who knew someone. I quickly wore my sunshades and then bent my head and pretended to manipulate my phone but it was of no need because the car stopped by me “Hop in” he said

I rolled my eyes at this dramatic guy. “Let me get this straight. That new guy is your sister’s ex?” I nodded. “So, you are the one who beat him up that day?” And again, I nodded.
