The moon hung in the sky like a brilliant, oversized flashlight. Lila leaned her forehead against the window pane. It felt cool and soothing. Peering into the illuminated night, she looked out onto the mountain in hopes of spotting Marcus and his pack approaching the castle. She’d had no word from Ben about the rescue Jasper and the werewolves were planning for her, but this would be the prime time for them to do it. She closed her eyes and tried to visualize Jasper in his wolf form as he raced through the woods with the pack, but the pain in her back wouldn’t allow her mind to focus.

Spring time is prime time for bears waking up from hibernation, and it isn’t uncommon for them to wander too close to the pack grounds. The cracking of twigs and rustling leave noises get closer and closer, and Leo joins Carlos behind his rock. Both are quiet, which is odd for Leo, waiting with bated breath to see if they need to make a run for it.

What would a Bear be- I turned around swiftly and sure enough, there was a Bear, just in front of Alex, crouching beside him and oggling at his face. What the hell? At first when Alex noticed it, his face contorted in fear, ready to scream bloody murder but the sound died in his voice. All the while, the Bear did nothing but stare at him, before dipping it head lower and nuzzling its big nose on Alex's face. Alex shrank away in fear, but at the Bears second try, he did not recoil, rather embraced it. They both stayed like that for long time, Alex finding peace and solace in the warmth of the Bears thick coat of shiny chocolate brown fur.

We're so far away from that it's fucking hilarious. My grizzly's thick black claws sink into the hard autumn ground as my bear slowly advances, growling like a bloodthirsty beast. The old man weighs his options and then turns and runs. Bad move. He should have kept shooting. My bear runs after him, pumping those big strong paws as I yell at him to stop. The conductor jumps into the nearest car and slams the metal door shut. My crazy bear slams his shoulder into the door, knocking it down.
