I get a mouthful of Ash's fur as we clash. Ash pulls out of my grip but before he can step away I attack again. We land in a head, unable to find where the ground starts and the wolf ends, unable to see anything but snow and fur, teeth and claws. Ash's teeth clamp down on my shoulder and I turn to snap at him but he releases me, avoiding my grip. He leaps forward again, pulling me back into the snow.

Perhaps it was the pain or Ash's strange guttural yell, but the wolf inside him woke up and quickly took over. He quickly got up and pushed her off him with one hand. Ash started to fall sideways, but she quickly righted herself. She bared her teeth and growled at him, brown eyes flashing into a golden yellow. Hunter pushed her down and got on top of her, pinning down both of her arms, holding her down by the wrists. He growled back, showing his fangs. He blinked once and his eyes went from blue to amber. Bright red blood ran in a line from his bleeding nose to his lips.

He was six foot seven and his pack lived up in the cold mountains. Next to him was Callahan Finn. He was the alpha of the Summer Rain pack. He had light-blond hair and brown eyes. He was the perfect definition of a golden retriever personality, which contradicted his towering height of six foot five. Just like his hair, his wolf was blond. Asher Grey was the last of King’s friends. Asher was the alpha of the Ghost bound pack. He had gray hair and black eyes. He was the opposite of Callahan mysterious and almost scary.

I didn't scream though. I am not sure how I didn't realize it without Talia telling me, but Ash's wolf was almost identical to her except the white patch and mismatched eyes. Ash's wolf was light gray with white spots and he had a black patch over his right eye. His eyes were a shiny silver, only shining brighter with the full moon. I felt Talia taking control, but I was still there…present. Is this how she feels everyday? It's an odd feeling.

But to me, it is another step ahead. I run back to the direction Kendra ran to, and I see an auburn wolf with white patches on the fur and tail, fighting with a black wolf with brown spots all over it. The auburn colored one is definitely Kendra. I can tell that. She has red eyes too because technically, she is a rogue. People say auburn means loyalty and white means kindness. Well, the both colors suit her.

Alex laughs hysterically. She turns her head to him and suddenly walks to him and slaps him hard across his face. He needs to change his tone; she’s no longer his anything to whom he can just talk rubbish to. "ENOUGH! You have no right to treat me this way anymore!! None at all." She yells at him. Alex glares at her and stands up and holds onto her hair and pulls her with him. She slaps his hand over and over again, trying to get free from his grip but he only tightens his grip on her hair with every try.

Velvet’s head snapped toward the trees. Julianne wondered if it was okay to get caught in a moment like this. As she was busy weighing her chances, the ground began to tremble beneath her feet all of a sudden. The leaves rustled high above and the wind turned violent, sharp as a blade. And then, deep in the dark, she heard a growl. It was low. Feral. Julianne’s breath caught as she saw a creeping shadow behind her. She turned slowly around and a massive wolf stood just feet behind her. Its fur was black as night, eyes glowing gold and its fangs bared.
