He Wants Me More After Divorce

He Wants Me More After Divorce

Estelle’s POV The house smelled like yeast and burnt butter when I pushed the door open. Harrison and Lucas were at the counter, both wearing aprons Harrison had gotten at a charity auction three years ago, both with flour up to the elbows. Chloe was at the table with a library book the size of an atlas, flipping pages on a diagram of Krakatoa. “Mama, we’re making bread,” Lucas announced. “It’s going to be terrible.” “Probably.”

75 Days

75 Days

"I haven't had sausage in forever. It's that frozen pre-cooked stuff, but it looks great. And it's mixed in with the scrambled eggs. We even get toast today, too. The soldier behind the bar said a few of the older women here used a bag of that flour from the storeroom to make homemade bread from scratch." The food looks great, and I'm glad for Felicia's timely interruption. It saves me from making an ass out of myself to one of my only friends. So while Felicia rambles on about how amazing bread is after going so long without it, I dig into the food, hoping a full stomach might help take my mind off of the pain in my shoulders and my back. Even though the eggs have little flavor and the saus

Badblood

Badblood

She will never wish to meet one. Maria stood up and scrabbled something from the cabinet. It was a not-so-nice-looking-bread her mother cooked at the village kitchen. The bread was big as her palm with brown withered surface full of white powder and a slit at the centre. Serra could see the white and fluffy treat on the inside. Her mother used to say that the ugly ones always bring surprises so she makes these breads unattractive outside but delicious and explosive inside, a party of flavour. Besides, Serra loves the crust of the bread. It is her favourite.

Keanu picked up a super sized can of peaches. "Then again, with Jude here it might not last more than a week," he continued. "Oh ha ha.I'll try to make it last a little longer than that." I tapped my finger, trying to decide between wheat bread or bran then saw Nutella and forgot all about them. I snagged some almond butter too. And some peanut butter. And jam. And jelly. Dammit, now I definitely need to pick a bread. I shrugged and selected both.

Unspoken Love

Unspoken Love

Sam said with full of support to himself. I looked at the bread that I made and compare it to Sam's bread. I lose hope when I saw the appearance of my bread. Its very ugly and its not good to eat. "How about you? Can I taste it?" Mr. Baker said then pinch a little to my bread, before I could stop him. Sam pinch a little too and they taste it without looking at me. While they are eating the bread that I made. I can't wait any longer to hear my results. Sam was about to speak, but Mr. Baker talk first.

Three Nights With The Lycan Prince

Unfortunately, it's not as easy as she had imagined. Arlo made a face at what he just tasted. "I will just pass, it looks superb though." Jovy laughed heartily. "You liar." He joined her in laughing hard. "I can't believe you still haven't learnt how to make cream cheese after a whole week of learning.” Jovy shrugged nonchalantly. “You can't blame me. I have been trying my best, but it seems not to want me." She pouted. "At least my bread is out of this world."

“Grovbrød, brunost, and lefse.” “Continui a parlare elfico come se dovessi sapere cosa stai dicendo. I can play at this game too; you need to cut that shit out and stick to English, or Imma sick my inner Italian on you.” Erik chuckles “It’s traditional, Norwegian breakfast food.” I pull out the sandwich and examine it. “Did you make this?” “Everything but the cheese.” “Wait you baked this bread?” Erik nods. “Do you like to cook?”

Man's Best Wingman

Man's Best Wingman

Amaya whined. “What’s pão de queijo?” Ofelia asked. “An amazing Brazilian cheese bread. Clay made them for me once, and they are probably the real reason we’re dating.” I only half joked. “Seriously? I could save you the headache of my brother and give you the recipe.” Reese laughed as Clay flipped her off. “Xenia and I both know why she’s dating me. It’s just inappropriate to discuss with parents around.” Clay winked while my mother covered her face, and my dad shook his head with a heavy sigh.

Is that really how the book ends? It's a really good book but to end it that way... Especially with the trauma the two main characters seperately endured... Feels wrong to deprive the reader from getting to have that HEA with the characters.

Another wonderful book!! I have laughed so hard it hurts and this is not just a nod to romance, But Life getting in the way and our animals fully taking over and inserting themselves when we aren't brave enough to do it ourselves. Absolutely brilliant!!!

The Lost Destiny

The Lost Destiny

I laugh and race him down the stairs. 'What did he mean?' my heart questions. 'Nothing important' my brain replies. 'I think he has a thing for us' my gut speaks. 'Focus on why you came here' my brain yells. the other two nod as I reach eating quarter. "Chef, What's special today?" I ask standing at the kitchen entrance. "Cereals and bread, miss" he smiles and prepares a plate for me. "It's a baguette" I say looking at the bread.

Curse of the Moon

Curse of the Moon

Do they use their hands? "Have you never had elk meat?" He asked when I stared too long on the table, anchored on my thought. "I usually start the day with a rye bread." I noted. "Hmm," he leaned on his chair, "there is not much nutrients in bread. That is why humans fall ill easily. I never knew why they munch on that kind of food." A way again to insult me. I feigned a smile, diverting the unwanted sour topic. "I thank you for the ale, though." I raised my cup and drank from it. The hot sensation of the liquid quickly settled on my empty stomach and I was happy to embrace it.
