All of the smells were incredible, like a perfume garden coming to life. Then there was a flash of blue! A butterfly landed on a purple flower, its color similar to that of the summer sky. It opened its wings, revealing a variety of colors, including dark purple, bright blue, and a hint of yellow. It resembled a genuine jewel, a tiny bit of magic!

But there were still a lot more plants I couldn’t identify. I gasped, awestruck, gazing at the red butterfly. Its wings were as though made of thin slices of glowing red crystals with dark and gold patterns mixing gracefully with one another as it flapped its long-tailed wings. It was twice the size of a normal butterfly and a thousand times more beautiful and magical. The butterfly fluttered past the window glass. I waved at it excitedly, as though it would wave back at me. Unaware of how sheepishly I was smiling, I couldn’t take my eyes off it.

"She’s the Blueprint of the Twenty-Sixth. And she’s already started the re-weave." From the Hive, thousands of Silver-Black Butterflies began to emerge, their wings etched with the faces of the people we had lost.

Aria “Hey. Breathe.” Ethan turned to me and crouched down, blocking out the view of my awful family behind him. His eyes were calm and cool, a dusty blue like the cloudless sky. Just looking into those eyes made my pulse begin to slow. “Breathe,” he repeated, taking my hands in his. “In through the nose, out through the mouth. Good. Like that… See? All better.” I looked down at my hands to find that the claws had disappeared. My fingertips still trembled, but that pressure that had been building all day—it had ebbed away like the tide.

Mrtyu's green eyes slowly opened, and she was frightened at the sight of the blood-red crimson butterfly. "You... Damn little thing, you dare to wake me up?" she yelled, waving her hands away. Nonetheless, the crimson butterfly lingered in front of her eyes. Mrtyu rose to take a seat and reached out her hand to grab it. To her surprise, it sat on her fingers, closing its wings in a restful manner. Mrtyu peered into the small butterfly's eyes and pondered, "Why is it glaring at me?" The mysterious black smoke filled the entire bus, and she was encircled by the same chilling wind which have been stalking her not with warmth as usual but it gave her grave agony. How is something so small so perfect? I carefully place my finger in front of it, gently nudging it, trying to coax it onto my finger. My smile turns as wide as Winter’s as the butterfly takes a tentative step onto my finger. It pulls back for a moment, as though it’s testing this new, unfamiliar territory. Then it’s on my hand, crawling slowly over my skin, each delicate step feeling like the flutter of eyelashes. I bring my hand up to inspect it. It really is a miracle. The more it crawls, the more it tickles. Must be why eyelashes on your skin are called butterfly kisses. They really feel like the flutter of butterfly wings and their tiny little feet.

A teasing voice cut through the air with the approaching Fabian, who was fawned over and orbited by a group of childhood friends. “Buddy, you should’ve come to me for a loan! How are the cars coming along? I’ve been bragging about you everywhere, so don’t let me embarrass myself now!” Standing beside him was Chester Byrd, casually raising his wrist adorned with an imitation of a green Rolex Submariner.

“What’s that?” I blink and then look down into my hands where a little blue butterfly sits, slowly moving her wings up and down, completely calm and incredibly pretty. “Holy shit,” Blythe whispers, stepping close to peer at it. “Where did you get that?” “Want to be a butterfly next?” I ask, a bit wicked, grinning up at him. He just flinches back, looking at me with horror.

With every flap of its wings, a sweet aroma as well as tiny green flower petals fell off its wings. There were six smaller similar looking butterflies flying around the massive one. These were around 50 meters tall, all of different colors, white, red, pink, green, black and light blue. Milton stood to his feet and observed the butterflies with interest, he realised that all six of these, all of different affinities.
