Call The Midwife Books By Jennifer Worth の小説・ストーリー

She walks out of the room, relief washing over me. “See, very soon we will have a son.” Jackson smiles, happy as anything. If only it was that simple. He is already getting attached and we don’t even know if it is his baby or not. The door opens and the woman walks in holding the pictures. “Here are your pictures, and a sheet with your due date and other information for the midwife when you get booked in.” I had completely forgotten about a midwife. I need to book the appointment as soon as I can.

I overheard the nurse telling the midwife I push as I could. I scream out as I use my strength to push out the baby Soon I heard a cry of a baby ,The midwife gave the baby to a nurse who left with him I felt the urge again to push I tighten my fist "Push Mrs Asher,I know you can do it"The midwife encourage I push out the second baby I laid weakly on the bed They took the other baby to clean him up The midwife remove the placenta and clean me up. I was transferred to a private ward but still no sign of Asher or the babies.

“Now, with that being said, you’ve got to think of a name for that cute little cherub. All of us midwives are just calling him the little Prince.” Once the midwife put away her equipment, she excused herself, promising to be back as soon as she can and once, she was gone I felt the rush of everything pour out of me. I felt my shoulders shake, my face burned from tears and my throat stung from the crying. Any energy I had left was sobbed out of me. I don’t know how long I was like that but after a while I was quiet again, laying on my side watching my son sleep so soundly, counting the seconds between the rise and fall of his chest, adoring his baby whimpers with a sad smile. She knew she had to perform her duty. “We should let the king know about it soon before those gossipy maids do it first,” the midwife said to Termla. “Bring the child and walk slowly behind me.” Termla did as she was told. The midwife went before her to the passage where the maids had gathered with their heads together whispering. When they saw her they immediately stopped talking and disbanded with their heads bowed. The midwife looked at them with disgust. “You have better things to do than to stand around gossiping. Go and clean your queen, clean the room, air it and wash all the towels!”

She asked. "When it's up to three to four months and mostly fourteen weeks oh and I wanna give you some guardians since this is your first time" the midwife walked towards a cupboard as she spoke before bringing out a self care book. "You should try to read these and since it's your first time getting pregnant you should avoid taking caffeine and hard drinks and many others which you would know if you read the self care book" the midwife instructed and Valerie nodded before opening the book and going through the book.

I found the retired midwife who’d once served the royal family—she lived quietly now, tucked away and forgotten. She didn’t ask questions when I told her who needed her. Just gathered warm cloth, small flasks, herbs, and followed. Back in the chamber, Seraphina was hunched forward. Her breathing ragged. The midwife rushed to her side and motioned for me. “Hot water. Towels. Prop her up. Now.” I didn’t ask questions. I ran to fetch the water, returned with a pot steaming from the fire. I layered pillows under Seraphina’s back as gently as I could. She gripped my arm, digging her nails in, crying out.

I saw how she swallowed hardly which made me confused and scared at the same time. "J-Jenny? Where is my baby? Tell me! Why aren't you answering me?" My voice trembled. I looked at the old woman standing beside her. She is the midwife. She went out for a few moments and when she came back, she was carrying a white cloth. And I know that my baby is there. I smiled as I waited for her to come to me. I can't wait to hold my baby. "H-He is dead. When you gave birth to him, after a few minutes, he died, Nathrelya..." the midwife whispered in a trembling voice.

All the moments that once moved me, all the memories that once made me happy, were being weaponized by her. “Sam, do you remember the time I got drunk, and you carried me back to school? You said you wanted to stay with me forever. It’s only been five years. Can you really break that promise?” Her tears kept falling, soaking my pants. When the security guards came in, they beheld the ridiculous sight. I raised my hand slightly. They immediately stepped forward and dragged the pair out. I had just let out a breath when my phone rang. It was my mother-in-law.

This was the first time I had received such an invitation and I could already feel the blood rushing to my cock. Fuck. "Uh... Okay, I guess." It was all I could mutter. As I moved to the couch, the midwife got up and said she was going outside to talk to my uncle about possible birthing positions. Aunt Linda tapped the cushion beside her, urging me to join her.
