I saw you on your birthday, that night you were wearing a Barbie doll pink dress and pigtails. That night I realized I had a crush on that cute little seven-year-old girl" He confessed sincerely. His eyes were locked with mine. The glow of his eyes, the depth of his gaze spoke his love for me.

My heart was broken, so much that I thought it couldn't be repaired. After that incident with Hazel in middle school, I couldn't find the courage to open up my heart to loving someone. Sure, I dated other guys, but I never really allowed myself to love them, not like I had loved Hazel. I knew I didn't have a diamond heart, one that was unbreakable, and so I treaded with caution, but just when I thought I had found a safe haven, a safe landing spot, I was yet again tossed out like before.
