I laid my back against a tree and closed my eyes. Why did I do it? That question haunted me. I had broken the rules, yes. But it wasn’t out of hate or betrayal. It was out of love. Out of protection. Out of doing what I believed was right. But the pack never listened to reasons. Only rules. And now… I looked up at the sky. The moon peeked through the branches. It was full and bright. A Blue Moon. How ironic. The very moon we worshipped in the pack.

Evelyn's expression turned serious, and she leaned in close. "The Lunar Curse is an ancient legend, it's said to affect the lunar pack, causing them to...change during the full moon." I felt a shiver run down my spine as I listened to Evelyn's words. How come i was so unaware of it. Sure i heard some stories about it but i did not know it was this dangerous. "Change? What do you mean?" Evelyn hesitated, glancing around the kitchen as if she feared being overheard. "I shouldn't be telling you this, and I think you have a right to know. The Lunar Curse is said to bring out the...beast in those who are afflicted. They lose control, becoming violent and unpredictable."

Orion. I swerved around and raised the book in my hand. “Orion?” I glanced at Owen, then at the book. “Like, the same Orion??” Peeling the front cover and a few after that, a vibrant picture Orion sat on it. I gasped and the book fell from my hand. Owen said nothing, but kept his gaze on me. Are you kidding me?! “I tore the lycan king with my claws?!” I shrieked with eyes wide open. “How- why… jeez..” having no ability to form words, I settled on just blinking. My blue eyes rested on the book on the floor showing his face.

Above us was the full moon, shining so bright for the world. "How do we find the nectar?" I asked, looking at the ground made of stones, some plants and grass, and some trees. "It's a flower which glows, just like the moon under the moonlight. We just need to look around," Michael replied, so we all started searching, all eyes on the ground, with sticks in our hands, sweeping through the grass and plants on the ground. "There it is?" I screamed when I spotted it.

"It chose you for a reason!" The relic throbbed in her hands, its light flickering as if it had a heartbeat. Luna shut her eyes, her desperation mingled with resolve. “What does the moon want from me?” she whispered, her voice trembling. A rush of warmth flooded her body, and a voice—soft, ancient, and yet potent—whispered in her ear: You are the bridge, Luna. The balance. Trust yourself and the truth will follow. Her eyes opened violently, shimmering softly with silver light. She turned to Malachai and his fear had been replaced by determination. "You are right, Malachai; the moon did choose me. Hiding from that is not an option anymore."

Leaving little nips that left my blood roaring. “ I'll give you the world Tala, I love you and all of this is real”. I gasped, pressing my body against his broad chest, so I could lay on top of him. “ Why'd you choose me?”. I asked him, searching his eyes for answers. “ I didn't. The moon goddess chose you for me”. His red eyes glowed under the moonlight. “ And what do you think?. Did she choose right?”. I asked him using my fingers to trace the hairs on his chest.

“Look around. Beside you, somewhere close, may be the mate who will walk with you into the future.” The tension in the air was palpable, thick with anticipation and the promise of destiny. Channary could almost feel the Moon’s light touching her skin, casting everything in a pale, silvery glow. She looked around, wondering which face, if any, would be the one she would remember forever.

The moonlight shining down on the pages illuminated the words in a way that made them seem to come alive. Without thinking, Verena sat down in the nook by the window and used the full moon as her light. She began to read from the book. "Seriona," she read the name written as the title of the first chapter. The story was captivating, and she was drawn in by the tale of werewolves. It was about a pack, led by their king, Lucas, who were cursed by a powerful witch named Seriona to only be alive inside the book. They were inside their own world where they could no longer harm humans, and the world was called Lunaria. The tale sent shivers down her spine; it was so wonderfully written, and the em

"Or maybe it isn't, and you'll feel differently standing in that chamber with the eclipse actually bearing down on you. Either way, you know the shape of the choice now, completely, instead of only in fragments. That has to count for something, whatever you finally decide." I nodded against his chest, feeling the hum beneath my skin answer the contact the way it always did now, steady and certain, and understood that whatever I chose, when the moment finally arrived, I would choose it as myself, fully, rather than as someone still running from pieces of her own story. Twelve days, I thought, the number settling into place as we finally, slowly, began the walk back toward the castle. Twelve d

I counter. I look out at the horizon. The woods are dark, but they aren't scary. They’re just woods. The wind is just wind. The night is just the other half of the day. I lean my head on Kaleb’s shoulder and he wraps his arms me and the baby, encasing us in his warmth. "What are you thinking?" he asks. I look at the moon. It’s full tonight. A bright, silver coin hanging in the sky. It chose me twice. Once to learn, and once to love.
