The middle of the store toward the front is stacked full of tall white box structures holding hundreds, maybe thousands, of various comics separated out by maker and then series. Most of these areas are easy to overlook, but the back of the room draws my attention. Along the back wall, a few feet from a door marked employees only, three thick orange-ish colored couches form a half circle with a thick coffee table placed in the middle. the boy said, stuttering a little, as though it was the first time he'd talked to a girl in a long time. "Nice to meet you, Gary. So, you like comic books?" Katherine asked offhandedly. Gary looked at her oddly. Katherine made a gesture towards the black T-shirt now open to view because the buttons of his blue polo shirt were ripped off. The T-shirt had white lettering that read: There's no rehab for comic book junkies. Gary shuffled his feet, plainly embarrassed. "I am a bit of a Marvel brat myself. X-men and such," Katherine said with an easy smile as the world watched in surprise.

Monday after lunch of the second week, we got into comic books again when a junior girl was trying to make a Black Widow logo/belt buckle. Wendy, I, and most of the campers in the hut got into a spirited discussion of how it should look. It was fun in general, and particularly so because Wendy kept bending over the table to sketch her arguments out. When the period was over, I asked her enthusiastically, "So, do you like comic books in general or just Batman and Superman?"

DIANE Shopping was nice. I bought my pencils, socks and gloves. I even got myself Chinese takeout for dinner and a couple new comics from the bookstore near the condo. The bookstore, Supernova Comics, is a lovely sight to behold. The interior is beautiful, serene, filled with tall shelves containing so many cool comics, and there's even a cozy mini reading spot at the far end of the store. Mrs Jones, the bookstore owner, was nice and very hospitable to me. My shopping experience there was amazing, and I even see myself probably visiting there whenever I need to treat myself to a comic getaway.
