Corrupt Book Review Novels & Stories

Monalisa Smutty books were getting way too filthy for my taste lately. The couple in the one I was reading were twisted into a position that looked physically impossible, legs over shoulders, back arched at a brutal angle, the hero slamming into her so deep and hard it looked like he was trying to ruin her for any other man. The author deserved jail time. How the hell did someone even write something that dirty? And how was the heroine not cramping? I gripped my Kindle so tight my knuckles turned white, equal parts horrified and shamefully turned on, when the chaos downstairs exploded again. Bass vibrated through the floor. Loud laughter. Splashing. Drunken shouts.

Zyran followed at a comfortable distance, not hovering, not rushing, occasionally picking something up himself and looking at it with the expression of someone who read for information rather than pleasure but found the activity tolerable. At one point I looked up and found him in the next aisle reading the back of something, and the sight of him in this small warm shop in his dark jacket looking completely unhurried was so at odds with every version of Zyran the world saw that I had to look away before my face did something embarrassing. Julia shook her head. Shadow just scoffed silently. She understood it perfectly. In other words, Julia could only read it blankly without registering it in her mind. It wasn’t weird, though. These were relics that were filled with corrupted mana. Only corrupted people could read it. “I’m not sure. This is a bit complicated. The author’s name of ‘How To Write A Story’, is total bullshit, however.” Julia’s words became rougher as she spoke. She clenched her jaw, lamenting and collecting herself, and breathed out.

I took another book from a different author, which he, of course, immediately had a comment about. And when I opened another book, another of his random facts came once again. And again. And again, until all the books I had collected to read had been reduced to nothing more than the work of ‘amateurs’ who knew nothing about real-life events. With a loud thud, I stood up. “Pray tell, what book in this terrible library is actually worthy of your approval, Ser Orpheus? Because every single damned book I have opened is either incomplete or completely incorrect,” I said, clenching my jaw.

A book room here was almost as large as a standard library. But this time, the genius of Ethelbert's guess was wrong. Dawn looked at Ashley who gave her a slow nod and Dawn sighed before she grabbed Amber’s hand and said, my magic was corrupted, Amber. Amber’s eyes widened and so did Ashley’s, corruption is a very bad thing and the worse thing that can happen to anyone. Corruption is when black magic or the dark energy enters the body of a supernatural and corrupts their pure spiritual energy. Someone as strong as Ashely can deal with it and so can Dawn, but the problem is that Dawn’s magic was corrupted before she reached her full potential. The fact that she was alive all this time is proof of how strong she is.

To my lovely readers I went through this book and fixed a lot of errors and spelling mistakes. I'm sorry I didn't do this sooner and I hope you reread this book. This is one of my favorites so I hope it reads better now. I appreciate all reads and comments so much. Please reread this book and enjoy it. I feel my hands sweating with nervousness. I can hear the cars stopping in front of the house. Slowly I walk to the wall-size windows, and I peak out. I am curious to see my future dear husband. The book showed diagrams of altars and called for blood at midnight and ashes as proof. I read a few paragraphs and my mouth went dry. The book said the demon liked bargains and loved to tie fate to a price. A cold thought moved through me: someone in this world had held this book before me and had wanted what Korvath offered. I pushed the pages closed. It felt wrong to keep reading. I slid the book back into the dark corner where I had found it and left it there. I wondered who had written such things and why. By mid-afternoon I was tired. My head hummed with new words and too many faces. I found a chair and rested. I closed my eyes for a moment and the library breathed quietly around me. I
