If I collapsed in front of everyone there would be an uproar. Enduring the ever growing pain, I rushed out the kitchen without sparing anyone a glance. When I was sure I was away from scrutiny, I staggered, using the wall as a guide as I entered into the suite. I went to the bedroom, inhaling the sheets that had Vie's scent. Slowly, my breathing calmed, the pain subsiding. I opened my palms once more. And sure enough the blood was still there. How could I cough out blood? What's happening?

Willow “What’s that?!” He rips my hand forward to inspect it before I even have a chance to process it. I cough again and more droplets of blood appear on my other hand. Slowly I tried to move my body to reach my bag, I am pretty sure that my bag is lying somewhere near. Suddenly, I felt like I am gonna puke and my breathing got erratic and my ribs and lungs felt like someone had punched them repeatedly. I lifted my body and crouched on my knees. The bile rose in my throat and I puked on the floor, the taste of the vomit is coppery and I know what that means, I vomited blood and it's pretty serious. I need to call someone to help me. I don't wanna die.

He leaned me forward, his arm pressing firmly across my stomach as he forced me to cough, to push out the bone. The pressure hurt, but I barely noticed. I was too focused on the pain in my throat and the desperate need to breathe. And then, finally, the bone dislodged, scraping its way up as I coughed and gagged, blood now spotting my lips. The bone fell onto the table, red-streaked, and I collapsed back in my chair, my throat throbbing with every shaky breath. I tried to catch my breath, but instead, a fit of coughing overtook me, deep and raw, each cough bringing up more blood. A strong cough wracks my body sending blood splattering in front of me. "Oh my Goddess! Lisa!" Gina shrieks, landing on her knees in front of me. "What is happening?" Alex demands, "Shit." Another cough escapes my lips and a piece of metal clatters to the ground. The pain in my throat escapes me and I quickly breath in as much air as I can. Looking down at my feet, I scrunch up my eye brows and reach down grasping the slim object. Alex breaths heavily beside me, "What the fuck was that?"

As soon as I sat down, a violent cough racked my body, warm liquid dripped from my nose onto my trembling fingers. Blood. Everything around me blurred.

I pressed my palms against the tile and dropped my head. The cough came out of nowhere. It tore through my chest, violent and unexpected, doubling me over. I braced myself against the wall as another followed—and another—until something wet and metallic flooded my mouth. I looked down at my palm and saw blood. Lots of it. "Bloody hell," I whispered. I stayed there until the coughing stopped. Until I could breathe again. Until I'd washed the last of it down the drain. Then I stepped out, dried off, put on some clothes, found my pills, and swallowed them without water.
