The taste of blood filled his mouth. He looked down. He had coughed up blood.

I started to say but a fit of cough overtook my throat. My eyes watered from the pain of coughing. I cried more as I noticed a pool of blood from where I stood on all falls coughing. There was blood splattered on the tissue as I tasted the metal liquid in my mouth. The doctor had warned me about this. I coughed again more blood coming out this time. In a daze I folded up the paper and threw it in the bin then proceeded to rinse my mouth at the sink, watching the crimson water go down the drain.
