Crimson Ocean Chapter 1 Novels & Stories

It surged. The silver threads of the Web turned a deep, visceral red. I felt a roar erupt from the thousands of wolves behind me, a sound that was not a howl, but a rhythmic, pulsing chant. The ocean responded. The steam from Julian’s ships did not dissipate; it thickened, turning from a white mist into a heavy, red fog. “What are you doing?” Julian’s voice wavered, his golden armor losing its luster in the strange, bloody light.

I thread it beside the other two. Three beads now. Girl. Woman. Queen. I step into the circle of water. My court follows. The portal swallows us. We fall upward into salt and starlight. And then we’re standing on the surface of the Gulf of Mexico at sunrise, a thousand miles from home, water solid under our feet like glass. Because I told it to be. A mile away, the ocean bulges. Something enormous rises (spires of black coral and gold, domes that sing in frequencies that make human teeth ache).

She looks ethereal; the dark waters wrap around her limps and torso and flow from her head into the ocean. Her mouth opens, she calls out to me. I want to run but the waters entangle around my ankles holding me still. She calls my name again, this time she is so close that I feel the bitter coldness of her breath. She grabs my arm and drags me with her into the dark icy ocean. I'm crying, pleading. The ocean begins to howl, pushing me with her

This was the correct puzzle. Then, as the moon reached its apex and bathed the square in its crimson light, everything changed. The air stilled, thick with charged energy, and sent the hairs on my arms standing on end. A hush fell over the crowd and was then punctuated by the occasional gasp as wolves began finding their mates. The sound of joyful howls erupted one by one, echoing into the night like a symphony of fate. I froze midspin, my breath catching in my throat. Gooseflesh prickled my skin as an odd warmth unfolded in my chest. I felt like I had an invisible string tied around my waist, yanking me forward. I spun instinctively, my eyes scouring the crowd.

They struck fast, dragging him down, slicing skin, pulling him toward the depths. Cayden fought. He always fought. But the ocean was not his territory. Blood stained the waves. His strength ebbed. His wolf screamed as his vision blurred. He sank, lungs burning, heart slowing. Then the water shifted. The sea stilled. A presence rose. Through fading sight, Cayden saw blue and green light cutting through darkness. Scales like living gemstones. A crown formed of coral and tide. Strong arms caught him before the water claimed his last breath.

In fact it made her even more sad. She heard one of the ladies whispering to Ryder and telling him that she would be alright and he would have his sister bacck soon. To just be patient. She was grieving just as he was, but that everyone greived in a different way. She continued to gaze at the night sky and sighed. Then she noticed it, suddenly her eyes widened. Blood on the moon!

It was a cage disguised as a lifeline. But Nathan was behind bars. And no one else was coming. She reached for her phone. Her thumb hovered over Keiran’s contact. She’d burned the first contract. She hadn’t burned this one. And she didn’t know if that made her strong—or already his.

For the second time, Crimson became the prey. ‘Magpagaling ka, Eliora.’ ⚘ little ⊹ lies ··································································································································

CRIMSON “Do you know the story of the bloody werewolf rogue that was killed by his alpha? Do you know about that rogue that was hated by all of his pack and all the other packs that no one wanted him at all? Are you familiar with the story, child?” an old woman asked me while giving me a serene smile on her lips.

I was fast and ample, but I was the biggest fraidy cat ever when it came to dangerous heights. “Walk with me?” Crimson leaned in and whispered into the shell of my ear, lips grazing my lobe before he pulled away. His yellow eyes, changed to a red hue as we locked gazes. His pupils dilating and changing shape. This close I could clearly see the shape of crescent moons. So strange, so ethereal, so magnetic, so mystical like… magic. I nod, letting him take my hand and pull me to my feet. Tingles erupt where our hands touch, spreading upwards through my arm.
