I couldn't move or think and as I looked up at Dax while he hugged me to cover me from the cameras, I wondered if Clarissa was right. Maybe… just maybe it was Dax who called the media to take pictures of us because he knew that if news got out about the two of us getting back together after eight years, it was going to boost his popularity and help his business in a short term period. Especially now that he just opened up a new branch in Denmark. He was probably lying about wanting me back and loving me all for his selfish want. Dax most likely never even thought about me all through those eight years. Maybe he just saw me as a means of publicity.

She gave me a bear hug and giggled. Keenan went around the room introducing everyone. "That is Alpha Dean, my father. This is Luna Angela, my mom, this is Mia, my sister. This is Zack, my brother. And you already know Adam." I was at a loss for words. I couldn't believe everyone was so happy that he met his mate. Kaia thought if this is how things are going, how would they be able to adjust with each other. It makes her even worried if they do have a relationship while the other likes another man. Sirene said, behind them. Dakota turned to her. "Yeah, just like how you and Maximo looked good together." She teased back. Since they had stayed for ten days together, she had noticed that Maximo and Sirene liked each other but won't admit it. SIrene's face turned red but she smirked. "Ohhhh, so you agree that you and Jaydan looked good together? Wow! Dakota, that's new." Dakota realized what she had said. She glared at Sirene and turned around to face the way. They laughed after seeing that reaction.

Dakota’s attention shifts to them, and she comments, “Your children are beautiful. When did you get married?” I hesitate for a moment, unsure how much I want to share with her. “I’m not married,” I reply, keeping my answer brief. Dakota raises an eyebrow, a hint of surprise flashing across her face. “Oh, I assumed... my mistake then,” she says, trying to hide her disappointment. I can sense the unspoken questions lingering in the air, questions about my relationship status and the choices I’ve made. But I don’t owe her any explanations. My eyes widen and suddenly Dakota woke up. "My sonn.. My precious s- oh who is she? Your girlfriend?" She walked to my desk and Dakota's eyes widen. She stood up and bowed to my mom "Hi, Dakota . I'm Nico's-" "Girlfriend." I cut her and her eyes widen and I know I won't make it alive after this "Girlfriend? She's beautiful! How come you never told me like this Nico?" My mom looked at me with a questioning look "No-" "Mom how about we eat outside?" I cut Dakota again before she denied our relationship.

Keira is beautiful and smart, her parents are Betas which will be good for their kids. “Yeah man were good. Sorry, we were just having a disagreement.” Dawson rubs the back of his neck. “Ok man, just take it easy on her. He ‘plays around with women.’ That’s his reputation.”

He asked as she licked her lips. “Yes, that was an internship, I stopped because I had an accident when I was going to work, and then… COVID happened,” She replied, his calm self giving her a kind of rush. A trust even perhaps. The way his shoulders were so relaxed made her want to have that kind of energy within herself, the way that white shirt was hugging around his chest, those fingers moved with the slightest ease, making the watch he wore on his right-hand shine. “I see, why do you want to have a job, your degree is not even finished yet,” He questioned, ‘because my dad is bedridden? No, not that much truth,’

Her eyes were squinting because of the grin on her face, and Theodore was the reason behind that. “Let’s go,” Dakota said in a serious tone as she returned her eyes on the road in front of them. Knives glanced at them in the coffee shop and eyed her boss after before responding with no other questions asked, “Yes, boss.” Dakota knew that Olivia was in a romantic relationship with one of the people that she despised the most, so she should not be surprised. Their recent encounters had become soft like the old times and for a second there, Dakota almost forgot that Olivia already had a different partner.
