Aurora’s POV Silence settled over the war room like a thick fog. The screen still flickered with the final frame of Monroe’s message, his face frozen in a half-smile that made my skin crawl. Damien hadn’t moved for what felt like minutes. He stood there, hands clenched into fists, shoulders rigid, as if every word had been branded into his skin. Daemon. Danny arrived at Mahisar’s home, his smile wide with secret victory. “I made contact with Maximus,” Danny announced. “He will be easy to replicate.” Mahisar’s cool turquoise eyes lit with delight as Danny’s body shimmered and shifted. In moments, Maximus stood before him—out of place in Danny’s oversized clothes, yet uncanny in every detail. The hair, the posture, the storm-gray eyes… the likeness was flawless. Mahisar circled the new form slowly, like a predator examining fresh prey. He reached out, brushing a hand across Danny’s shoulder, nodding in approval.

He pulled his phone out and searched his gallery for a second before looking at me “what do you know about Tyler?” “What?” I asked, frowning in confusion. He handed me his phone, and I frowned when he showed me a video of him entering a black sports car, then scrolling toward the next picture, he was entering a mansion. “I know that you won’t like the fact that I went ahead and searched about him, and I know that I had no right to do so; however, what I found forced me to proceed my search, and I don’t think that he was being completely truthful with you about his identity” Dante said, as I kept my eyes on the phone, my heart racing against my ribcage as I tried processing what he was saying

He stood up and walked to where he used to out his books, he took a small but old looking book and came back to where he was sitting, next to me. "I read it in this book , there is a certain theory which say that people might have ghost clones, these clones looks and dresses exactly like the original you and they can do anything you can do. Sometimes if you are lucky you can have a good clone but if you are unlucky you are likely to have a bad and evil clone , which means you are unlucky because yours is evil" he explained. His explanation shocked me , i have never heard such things and I've never believed in ghost theories.

I just have to pretend — " You." He closed in hastily and spinned me. " You smell familiar." Either all the demons in hell have escaped, or, someone somewhere is messing with my luck.
