I pushed his heavy doors open to see him sitting in his large chair looking thoughtfully as Zekan and Kyan both sat at the centre table. They all looked straight at me as I bounded into the room. “I found this!” I rushed out as I held out the book to Talon. He looked at it as his eyes widened. “The book about the hunters!” He breathed out as he took it from me. Both Kyan and Zekan stood up from their seats in surprise.

I let out a growl when I saw someone else walk in from somewhere near the back. “I knew those two were fucking involved. We should have beaten them when they first popped up in Sapphire’s class.” Riley sneers. Things got more interesting when Tanin of all people walked into the shop and over to the three of them. I laughed when I saw the confused look on his face when he looked at the guy posing as Kyllyan. I am sure he realized that it wasn’t really his. He is about to say something when Gareth steps out from somewhere and says something. Tanin glares at him, but along with the girls and Shayde starts moving to a side exit. The last thing we watch is them being tied up and blindfold

I said uncomfortably and placed out my hand to stop him. It had the opposite effect. He took my hand and leaned his large mouth with all his big teeth forward. His hard lips touched the backs of my fingers. I tried to snatch my hand away, but he kept ahold of it. “I swear my allegiance to you, Tara Layton, The Promised, the wielder, the bringer of peace. My breath, my blood, my life.” He dropped my hand, stood, and stepped back. Another guttybrew took his place. I didn’t know what to say or what to do, but Talon held me in place with gentle pressure around my back.

I step back to keep a safe distance. "Are you going to tell me what's going on? You were just gonna leave like that?" I suddenly feel very hot. What can I say? "I've changed my mind...
