Surrender her by the next full moon—or your blood will soak the soil.” Selene’s blood ran cold. Her breath came in shallow gasps as her world tilted beneath her feet. “They know,” she whispered. “They know exactly who I am.” “We’ll kill every last one of them before they touch a hair on your head,” Damon snarled, tossing the parchment into the fire. Flames licked and devoured the message, but its threat still lingered.

I began to translate the ancient words, my voice getting quieter with each line. "When the moon bleeds silver and the pack rules bend, the Last Daughter shall rise. Born of lost blood, mated to three as one, she will hold the power to unite the scattered children of the moon or watch them burn in the fires of their own making." As I carried her toward the pack house, her face turned slightly toward the moonlight. And I saw it. That face. Those features. That silver hair. I knew exactly who this was. Elara Moonshadow. Alpha Darius’s daughter. The wolfless one. The defective stain on the great Moon Chosen bloodline. What the hell was she doing half-dead on my territory? From there, she divided her power further: children of the new moon, children of the day moon, children of the blue moon, children of the full moon, and children of the blood moon. I had never heard of the day moon. I skipped the passage I’d already read as I tried to type all the new revealed text.

"They've been breached." Before I could respond, a flash of silver light exploded through my mind. A vision. A woman stood beneath a blood-red moon, her hair white as fresh snow, silver markings glowing across her skin. Thousands of wolves surrounded her, some bowed, others attacked. Fire consumed the horizon, mountains crumbled, kingdoms fell, and above them all a voice echoed through the darkness. “When the Moon's Daughter awakens, the forgotten bloodline shall rise. The Alpha shall kneel, the kingdoms shall burn, and death shall walk beside the bond.”
