She sat on the stool before pulling it near the bed I was laying on. "Trying to stay sane." She chuckled slightly, "I meant as any weird symptoms like nausea, vomiting, or something? Any odd feelings?" I frowned, shaking my head. "No, I feel fine." "For now," Clara added. "For now?" I looked at her but she chose to avoid my questioning gaze. Doctor Ruby sighed, turning to Clara as they stared at each other in silence- meaning they were talking in their mind-link. She sighed again as Clara's expressions darkened before she calmed her facial features and put on a poker face.

When she saw him out, Clara ran to ask. “Doctor, How is Mr. James now?” “Who are you?” Edward’s doctor looked at Clara with suspicion. When he saw her standing too close, he took a few steps back as if afraid Clara would touch him. “I... I’m Mr. James’s maid. Today is my first day of work.” Clara couldn’t think of any suitable reason to talk nonsense. If Edward James had accepted her, then her words can’t be considered a lie, so it should be fine.
