The young dragon kept his eyes on me, taking short steps in my direction as I held my breath. "where are you?!" the man bellowed. I could now see the young dragon clearly . He was young as I expected and quite short. He had strange colours mostly purple and grey and then his bones on his wings were easily shown. He reached my spot and paused, barely two feet away from me. My heart rammed inside me, praying to Erania he wouldn't do anything rash. I took a deep breath as it walked near me, seeing to sniff something out.

Alicia screamed loudly and burst into flames, turning into her phoenix, and breaking free of the shackles, wrapping the chain around his neck, and pulling tight with her claws, opening the gash she had caused earlier. The Red Dragon wrapped his ferocious tail around her neck until she let go. The dragon pinned her to the ground and Alicia realized his intention, so she fought against him with all her might. Still, he had her pinned. She could not move at all, and she was running out of ideas. Suddenly, the big dragon’s weight was lifted off her, and she realized that three dragons were tearing him to pieces. Alicia’s dragon, her prince had saved her, and the Red Dragon was dead. I dragged my gaze around, confused by their reaction. Wait, he did say this was the ‘Dragon Keep’. He pushed it back into the fire and straightened to greet me. Every time I had seen this man, he embodied the words dark and mysterious. However, being this close to him drove that idea home. Whereas every other Draygon that I had met in this village was tinged with gold and had a slightly tanned complexion, Nerrian was dark. His short hair that barely brushed his shoulders was jet black, and his eyes were a matching shade causing both to stand out on his amazingly pale skin that held no tinge of green. Even the robes he wore were black, giving the impression of a quintessential Dark Wizard that would put me under his spell before taking over the world.
