A grin formed on my face as I reached down to scratch Amar behind one of his velvety soft ears. "Dude, that was the most fucked up dream I've ...." my stomach gurgled, cutting me off mid-sentence, and I hurried to the bathroom knowing what was going to happen. Between the most realistic and strange dream that I've ever had, a migraine that was using my head as a gong, and Gram's tea that was basically a body purifier, I debated just crawling back in bed and calling it quits for the day.

The air was thick with the metallic scent of blood. I awoke with a gasp, my body drenched in sweat, my heart racing. "Dad!" I exclaimed, urgency infusing my voice. Asher, who had been keeping a watchful vigil, rushed to my side. Concern etched lines on his face as he took in my distressed state. "What's wrong, Bella? Are you okay?" Tears welled up in my eyes as I struggled to articulate the unsettling dream. "I saw... I saw Dad and Uncle. There was sadness, and then... one of them died. After that, there was bloodshed, so much blood."

She groaned and held the top of the drawer while she used her other hand to hold the side of her head. The pain was excruciating and she felt as if her head would tear apart. When her eyes opened to look at her reflection in the mirror, she saw something scary. Her eyes were deep red and something sharp forced itself out of her gum, making her jaw hurt and it pricked her tongue. She brought her hand up to her mouth and used her finger to raise her upper lips. She suddenly gasped and moved back a bit.

Confused, I pulled my hand away and looked at it only to notice blood smeared across my fingers. "Damn it." How can Killian have so much power over me in the dream? This is beyond anger and vengeance, it's more serious than it looks, far more dangerous than I initially thought. Dreams shouldn't leave physical effects. No ordinary nightmare should make my nose bleed like I had actually been struck.

Different set of eyes balanced on him “How are you dear?” The most elderly woman amongst the bunch asked. “I think I would be fine.” He replied Concern creeped into her face “Why is that?” “I had a disturbing dream in the midnight and I don’t remember anything about it” Chris said with his mouth full of toast bread and a cup of coffee on his hand.

Lonely tears fall from my face which contained an apathetic feature. I didn't know what to think, do or even feel. I wake up from my vegetable state when the alarm clock alerts me that it's 7 am. I get up still in an apathetic state going to the bathroom where I stand under the water trying not to let scenes from my dream or past pass through my head. Why did the dreams come back? I notice that there is blood on the floor and I automatically bring my hand to my nose, it is oozing blood, then I have a slight dizziness and a headache.

I pointed at her face, feeling furious. Suddenly, my throat felt hot. I could barely breathe in oxygen because of the coughing that didn't pause at all. I felt something strange happening to my body. There was a burning sensation inside my skin that made me feel petrified and uncomfortable. Suddenly, I felt a blood-like discharge coming out of my teeth that was sharp and piercing. I felt like I was waking up from a nightmare, and my vision instantly turned dark and blurry. I felt thirsty and wanted to find something that could quench my thirst. Not only that, but I felt like finding a source of blood to drink.

"Do you want to talk about the dream?" I shook my head, the vivid flashes of the nightmare still too raw. "No. It wasn't good. Terrible actually. I don't want to talk about it. Hell, I don't even want to think about it ever again." She nodded. "I get it. These meds can cause strange dreams. Sometimes they feel too real." As she tugged the blanket back, a smear of blood on the sheet caught my attention. My stomach dropped. Seeing the blood smudged on the stark white sheet threw me straight back into the nightmare.

The rancid smell of blood wafted through the air mixed with the fresh smell of the trees. I raised my hands staring at the tips of my fingernails which had turned black, just like in my dream. I frantically ran my fingers down my uniform which was now crumpled and covered in several blood splatters. "Th-maybe it's just a dream." I muttered in a trembling voice to myself. But the black stains on my nails didn't go away either, panic and fear made me shake a little. I glanced at the carcasses again, dry pine needles splattered around the carcasses. Blood was still dripping from the stomach of one of the rabbits and the little deer.

I cried. "Yes, sweetie. Blood is what you are now." "But when I brushed my teeth there was no blood. I had saliva." "You brush your teeth?" "Yeah ..." "You're not going to get tooth decay, Kim. I promise." I spat a clot of blood on the floor of the tub. "It wasn't like that before, I swear it. There was spit, not blood."
