A huge Gothic building with towering windows and black stone, encircled by gardens, training grounds, and what appeared to be an obstacle course created by someone with a terrible imagination.

The dungeon entrance was a thirty-minute walk from the academy gates. Not through the forest. The forest was a separate thing, beginning at the treeline east of the academy grounds and extending outward for several kilometers before the terrain changed. The dungeon entrance was to the south, built into a low hillside, marked with academy survey posts at twenty-meter intervals and a reinforced iron gate that required a faculty key to open. Hale had the key.

"I'm fine. I just don't want to be alone here." I believe the last part. It's the first part I'm not sure about. "She comes," I say to Draven. He doesn't argue. We move through the corridor in a strange formation — Draven ahead, Marcus appearing from nowhere to fall in beside him, Maya next to me, Elena just behind. The academy at night is a different building than the academy in daylight. The stone breathes differently. The lights in the hallway are lower, and the shadows they leave are the kind that could contain anything.

There were no complex hallways to navigate, so the girl could find the dungeon with ease. It still worried him that she might run into one of his comrades. He hadn’t sensed any magical energy from her, not a spellcaster’s aura nor a trace of sigil on her body. She wasn’t even warrior-trained yet. The girl wouldn’t be able to defend herself. He descended the stairs, illuminated by sconces, his footsteps reverberating off the walls. The dungeon door was open, and the three guards were snoring in their seats, surrounded by empty flagons, toppled glasses, and bowls of nuts. Pieces of the board game they had learned from Earthland lay scattered on the floor.

Deep in the mountains, hidden beneath layers of enchanted mist, stood the towering fortress of the Obsidian Crescent Academy. Unlike The Sanctum of Mirrors surroundings, the Obsidian Crescent exuded an air of menace. The dark stone walls were etched with glowing runes, and the grounds pulsed with chaotic energy. Inside the academy’s central hall, Selene, the formidable leader of the rival school, stood before a gathering of students. Her black hair cascaded like a waterfall over her sharp shoulders, and her piercing silver eyes held the room captive.

Maleficent the Glutton and Damon the Prideful stopped talking when they were greeted by huge wooden doors that would be the entrance to the exam hall. After the grand opening of the City Academy, classes resumed in Transylvania Academy as if nothing happened at all. Headmaster Kraken was back in business again. After the intensive series of battles, another headache welcomed them — a fucking exam.

​I am Moon, a woman living at the bottom of this academy. This academy is located at the top of the mountain and the people who live below are the poor or "slap soil" as the rich call it. And yes, I am one of the poor called by the rich. Poor are forbidden in this school, It is full of rich and strong creatures here. Half of me expects to see Mjollnir flying through the gymnasium windows, but of course, that would be cliché; it isn’t like this is a Marvel movie. The windows and the doors begin to shake fiercely as Hilda calls upon her forefathers to lend her the strength she needs to defeat me. I can see Miles out of my peripheral pacing back and forth; even the professor looks like she’s not sure what to do in this situation. Being a demigod, Hilda is one of the stronger students in this school, and if she loses control of her powers, it could be devastating.
