“Yeah, that’s Logan Carter.” There was a round of Oh's and ahs from the group at the window. I heard my phone buzz on the table with a notification. I closed my laptop down and grabbed my things. A lot of the office stayed at the window watching as I exited. I must admit they were correct; he looked exceptional. He was wearing dark jeans, a crisp white T-shirt and a black leather jacket. He walked in, taking each step slowly, when suddenly a loud thud sounded from inside as he rushed, seeing a man jump out through the window. “Good. I’ll tell the men to move.” I reach for my phone, fast, and dial. Drew’s voice slices through again. “What the fu—! Lance, wait. I think Carl's called some backup.” My head jerks up. “What?” “There’s a car in view. Not moving forward. Just… on standby.” “Shit.” I hiss. I grab the binoculars from him without asking, slam them against my face, scanning fast. Carl’s outside the warehouse now. He's already seen his men, dead. And… he's dialing someone.

I continued to monitor her pulse, feeling every weak heartbeat. The car continued to shake, making the journey more difficult.
