Elric gave a harsh chuckle. "Men! Shall I inform him of who I am, or shall I let the guessing game continue?" Elric called over his shoulder. Five more soldiers appeared as if from thin air from the surrounding trees. They were all dressed in the same colors, crimson and gold, but their breastplates weren't nearly as ornate as Elric's. Saffron's eyes widened as the men appeared and her hope inflated again. Please, she prayed to whatever god was listening, get me out of here.

Half of his body was decayed, while the other half was fused with thousands of thin wires. He was a living skeleton, kept alive only by technology. "Welcome, brother!" Edward cackled. "Hand that boy over to me. The 'Prime Moreno' code within him is all I need. Once it enters this rotting body, I shall become immortal!" Lucas drew his sword. This time, it wasn't made of metal; it was pure energy. "Edward, you killed my brother a long time ago. Today, I am simply clearing out the trash."

Victory scream sounded everywhere as everyone rejoiced, not at all bothered that they were all naked and the only clothed ones where the nightwalkers. Edward finally flew down and it was then that everyone got a clear view of him. He was dressed in black pants, black turtleneck with a black long coat, similar to how he was dressed the day he had interrupted the High chiefs and High howlers meeting in Blue Moon’s pack conference hall.

The children, now slowly coming out of hiding with their parents, began stomping them out. “What the fuck was this?” A familiar voice snarled. I turned slowly, schooling my face into a mask of indifference. There was blood smeared across my cheek. Good, it would make me look tough. Battle-worn. Edward stood before me, shirtless and in a pair of torn slacks. He’d just shifted back into his human form after eliminating the last of the leech demons.
