Thanks to Rose and Wynne, I was able to get the information about Emmett's birthday that he never celebrates and had never been at home for until hopefully this year. Since he is going to be a new year birthday celebrant, we wanted to settle for colors that suggest new beginnings. We finally decided to work with white, lavender, orange and Emmett's favorite color, purple. Having settled for a color palette, we started surfing through various cake designs I would bake with Rose. Then, my phone started buzzing. It was a call from Emmett. Sitting on one of the chairs in the room, I picked the call. My chest felt fluttery and strange. "Amber." Emmett's deep, smooth voice said into my ear.

“Your mercy precedes us, Alpha King Sven.” “Good,” King Sven says, yanking my head up by the hair, forcing me to look up at him. “Here's your product, Gwendolyn, Emmett. Do you perhaps want to test her before taking her along with you?” Lord Emmett is the first to step out. He is ancient. I've heard he's over a thousand years old. He stands opposite me, his predatory eyes rakes over my body. I hold his gaze, staring into his crimson red eyes to show that I'm not a pushover.

Then emerged from behind the dark curtains. “Emerett!” I exclaimed in surprise. This was the fifth best warrior of Shadow Ace, Emerett. What was he doing here? Emerett smirked and kicked the television set as he walked towards me. “You've become rusty,” He scoffed, the distaste in his eyes obvious. Emerett was white skinned with black short hair, brown eyes and thin lips. He had muscles which he never failed to show off. “Why did you try to kill me just now? W-why are you even here? Shouldn't you be training in London?!!”

I grab her and start walking outside. I hear Levi and Luca both laugh as we take off. The atmosphere outside is lively and a significant change from the hall. Everyone is talking and laughing. It is nice to see even if we are going to war with a witch tomorrow. Emma leads us to the bar and gets us a drink. Mine is a fruity mix drink that matches hers. The guys grab a beer, and we all smile as we take our first sip.

He says as he pulls a package out of his bag and hands it to me. "Oh, what is it?" I remove the cloth that covers the package, it is a very old book with a blood red cover and despite the years is still in good condition. I caress the cover of the book, on it we can read the pack of the twilight. "This is a very old book, the family tree of our pack. " I opened the book, my fingers shaking. I had been wanting to know everything about this community that piques my curiosity for so long, I couldn't believe it.

"You are?" I asked gesturing to him. "Atreyu Windsor alpha of evergreen pack" then he is the other guy yesterday. "Nice to meet you all" was it nice to meet them? I'm glad to know them but seeing them forms a pain inside me that I can't explain. "What's that?" I ask when an eagle landed on Idris's hand with an envelope with it.

I glanced over at Azura, I didn’t want her in here for long, not wanting the silver to affect her or the baby. "Hello, Emmet." Dad said quietly, disappointment clear in his voice. Emmet opened his eyes and gave him a small smile. "Hello Alpha… I had a feeling it was going to come to this sooner or later." Dad nodded. "You had your entire life before you, Emmet; it's disappointing to see you choose a path of darkness." "As did your son." "There’s a difference," Dad said quietly. Emmet nodded. "Ah shit… Yeah, he’s an Elite. Sorry, I'm not bowing down and kissing the floor beneath your feet, but I'm really not feeling great."
