Me You, Nothing In Between

Me You, Nothing In Between

So I stepped down from my motorcycle, and with my helmet in my hand, I made my way forth into the tavern. The stool facing the wooden table bar, where cocktails and various alcohol were mixed was unoccupied so I sat on it and kept my helmet on the wooden bar table, along with my motorcycle's keys. And took in view of my surroundings. The tavern was quite empty since it was late afternoon. Fela's songs blasted from the old looking Jukebox. There was a very fat wrinkled age sucker like King Kong, with a skinny girl who he was times five her size. And the girl, a pretty little thing, looked really frightened and unsure of herself. On my left was a middle-aged lady with grey hair all through and

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

It looked like every other building, no signs or obvious indications of what kind of place it was. It turned out to be a tavern. Derren’s Sauce, the one Loran had mentioned. Drinks were being served to unsavoury types crowded around small tables. There was the slightest of pauses in the intense furtiveness as we entered, and then normal furtiveness resumed. It was a dark and dingy establishment, full of shadowy corners and shady characters. Everyone had a weapon of some kind. Blades hung from belts, glinted from the tops of boots or lay within easy reach on the tables. Many of them had missing limbs.

Evanara I walked quickly to the tavern. There was another showcase today and so I could not dance at the Circle. So rather than go back home empty handed, I went to a few inns and danced. I was lucky to get thirty coins and a silver coin. I had sixty more to go and with that,I could get Kevan some new clothes. The Narva Tavern was the biggest and most influential of them all. Peasants were not allowed in the tavern. It was a place high nobles frequented and on rare occasions, the Emperor as well.

Quest In A Soul Land

Her eyes followed the workers and she looked quite interested by the general idea of this place. "Smaller towns or cities don't usually have such a large business and wouldn't entertain in such a manner. It's in places like Balak City where you can find these kinds of locations," Chen smirked and drank juice from his mug, too. The establishment did not deal in alcohol but juice squeezed out of exotic fruits that serve the refresh their customers. The tavern was filled with men and women alike. While ordinary men and women may not be able to openly reveal their desires, Spirit Masters could. Gender didn't matter to most of the rogue cultivators as they would struggle to cultivate and then spe

Reign of the Swordmaster: One Blade to Rule Them All

Reign of the Swordmaster: One Blade to Rule Them All

In the twilight, the lingering sunset cast its light on the red brick and green tiles, adding a hint of haze and poetic charm to the bustling and prosperous Phoenix Song City. Sebastian hadn't forgotten his purpose for this journey. He continued walking and arrived at the most bustling central area of the city. This was a building with green tiles, vermilion eaves, and golden plaques hanging above the entrance, inscribed with "Drunk Immortal Pavilion." It was the largest and most famous tavern in Phoenix Song City. Sebastian had come here for a reason, and it certainly wasn't for a meal. As he entered, a waiter immediately came forward to welcome him, observing Sebastian's attire and showing

The Beta & the jewel thief - book 6

The Beta & the jewel thief - book 6

Black and scaly with a beak full of jagged sharp teeth. In the distance a child cried, the sound cutting through the bleak night, as the moon shone down on quiet streets. I made my way across town to Sapiens, an old tavern that still operated on the outskirts of Briarshire. An establishment that had been passed down through generations and had even withstood the great Lycan wars from two and a half centuries ago. With my enhanced hearing I could make out the lowly chatter of patrons and the giggles coming from the women who worked there. It was a bar, but it also doubled as a bordello house.

John Case
This is a wonderful story. This book could stand alone, but if you read all the books in this series, this book will open a beautiful world. Once you start to read you have trouble putting it down. Highly recommend as well as all the other books in the Delta’s Daughter Series.

I really enjoyed this series. Many books on this platform have similar stories, which gets boring really fast. This book series kept me entertained the whole time. It had the perfect balance of romance and action. I enjoyed getting to know each character in more detail as each book was added.

Mated To The Ruthless Alpha

Mated To The Ruthless Alpha

Bee Above story!myfirst time story
The way he looked down at me with a sly grin had my stomach doing back flips. Damn, what is happening right now? “I thought you might, and a witch actually; hence the name,” he answered. I paused, one foot inside the tavern. “Huh? A real witch?” He nodded and we stepped inside. As the door closed behind us a bell rang above our heads. I felt like I'd been transported into the past. Just picture an old tavern from any movie you've watched and you'd be spot on. The tables and chairs, the bar and shelves, were all solid handcrafted wood. The tavern was cloaked in semidarkness, with only a single window above the door and a few dim lamps on each table. It was oddly cool inside as well.

Claimed By My Mate's Step-Uncle

Claimed By My Mate's Step-Uncle

"Looking for your vessel, Uncle? You're too late. She's currently having a drink with some of my father’s old 'creditors' down at the local watering hole. Let’s see how fast that Brine wolf can run when the floor is made of gasoline.” The dashboard console had gone black the moment Claus’s face vanished, leaving me in a suffocating silence broken only by the frantic beat of my own heart. ‘The watering hole.’ There was only one place in this backward village that fit the description, a dilapidated tavern on the western ridge called The Rusty Spur. It was a known gathering spot for the local laborers, a place where law was fluid and outsiders were viewed as meat. If Claus’s rogue creditors wer

Alpha King: Please Never let me go

Alpha King: Please Never let me go

"Right! It was easy for us to move stealthily. It was definitely odd. The infected will sense anyone up close." As we made our way through the town, leaving the others behind, we came to the only tavern present in this place. Its name made us shocked as we had memories of it. The Great Wizard, a tavern that was in the kingdom where we truly came from. We looked at each other then went in. The door was different from what we remember. A peasant is playing a recorder rather badly; she is clearly in need of more practice.

The Dark Below

The Dark Below

“You don’t have much faith in humanity, eh? Aren’t we supposed to be the light to show the way?” Another scoff laps his lips from the insult that his captain just made or rather arrogance that propelled outward. Though deep down he knew what was taught to her as a child, well he had an idea but actually knowing the story was something that only she knew within her own mind. “People are frail, captain. Humans would rather save all their woes and give what they have to worship rather than buy dinner.” After a few moments of stern and needed silence, they both approach the tavern that is their destination. The outside of such a building is run down. The wood that makes up the structure looks li
