“I don't want to go through this pain again.” But the fever pulls harder, throwing me deeper into the nightmare. My heart races. My hands shake. I see blood on snow even though I know I’m lying on my bed. I hear the tearing of flesh. The begging. The moon too bright above me. Derek is shouting inside me. “Snap out of it. Kael, open your eyes.” I can’t. Not immediately. It takes everything in me to yank myself out of the nightmare. I force my eyes open, but the room spins and the fever makes everything feel unreal. Sweat covers my forehead. My chest rises and falls too fast, like my lungs forgot how to work.

Luna was unconscious for a long time. During this period, her condition did not stabilize at all. Instead, she ran a high fever recurrently and dreamed all sorts of nightmares. There was a huge fire in her dream, and she could see Neil and Theo trapped in it. They were shouting at her for help, but she could not go in to save them at all. No matter how hard she tried, she could not get closer to them at all. It was as though there was a layer of transparent glass separating her from them.

It‌ became a se‌rie‍s of shivering fits and fever dreams. In my dream, I was back in the war‍ehouse. The fir​e was roaring. Va​nessa was ther‌e, laughi​ng. But in‍stead of smoke​, the air w‍as‌ filled with g‌erms. Giant, microscopic mo‍nsters crawling over my s​kin. I tried t​o scrub​ them off, but my han‍ds we​re⁠ tied. "​It's okay. I've go⁠t you."

The empty wine bottle and two crystal highball glasses lay slanted in the main bedroom, where the two embraced each other, immersed in a beautiful dream. The continuous fidgeting of the girl next to him and her high temperature woke Damian Desmond up. Opening his eyes, he saw her flushed face and heavy breathing, indicating she was running a fever. "Fiona, sweetheart, wake up!" He reached out to touch her forehead, the abnormal temperature indicating that she had a fever. "Ugh... uncomfortable... itchy..." The girl moved slightly, but her eyes couldn't open, her speech weak and powerless. Her hands kept scratching her body, and she moaned incessantly.

The Dreams were about Dameon coming back and loving me again, only for me to wake up and realize that would never happen. Recovering from those dreams takes hours, the hole in my heart growing by the minute. I wish it all would end. **** I woke up exhausted and tired from hanging out last night with my friends. Jake, Luke, Lia, and Bri all came over, and we played a drinking game. I still couldn't handle the taste of alcohol, so I mixed it with a ton of spirit before I Drank it down. My head kind of hurt, and I yawned, sitting up in my bed. That was when I realized that I was hotter than usual. Feverish. And wet. Fuck. I was in heat again.

I didn’t interact with them at first and let Lorenzo explain since my body couldn’t take anything. Now. I can’t even get up. It’s just bothersome since it’s still happening where I’m already planning. I also attempt to open my eyes so I don’t dream what I dreamed. It’s frightening since my fever can worsen if I dream about it again. I’m also becoming hungry because I haven’t eaten since last night and during our trip. So maybe I’m failing as well and my body has no energy.

He smiled, a sleepy, satisfied smile, and closed his eyes. They carried him back to their shelter. Cassian built up the fire while Elidra bathed Kieran's forehead with cool water. The fever lasted through the night. They took turns holding him, singing the river song themselves, hoping it would reach him where he wandered in the hot darkness of his dreams. By morning, the fever broke. Kieran woke, hungry and confused, with no memory of what he had done. He only knew that he was tired and that the loud place was quiet for now.

She whispered. Her mother just seemed to follow a pattern, and that is when she figured it out what she really was. Her mother was a death echo and nothing more. She had only ever seen one death echo before, and now her mother would be the second one. Sage felt like walking up the street seeing more of her dream. She wanted to try and remember what day it was. Following the sidewalk, Sage was happy in her dream, and she knew that it was going to be hard to leave. There was no death and only light and happiness that was good enough for her.

Sure enough, the look in his eyes flashed confusion. "A nightmare? You haven't had one of those in years." I chewed on my lower lip causing the worry to grow evident on his features even more. I exhaled heavily as I knew he was waiting for clarification. "Not necessarily a nightmare. It was a dream where you guys were there to save me. I always dreaded waking up afterwards though. Because everytime I woke up, I realized that it was just a dream..." I felt the stinging sensation in my eyes and quickly took another deep breath.

Modern, furnished and beautiful and looking new everyday although the house was five years old already. Juana's coffee was transparent, lot of water,lot of sugar, no milk. So she could see her face while sipping at it. Her big blue eyes were a bit undefined, her expression showed fear with a mixture of helplessness and unusual calm. Then the dream came again. Avocado. Garden. Branch. Third branch. Corpse dripping with blood. Loose. Screaming. Empty House. Dream. "Oh my goodness" she sighed, dropping her half empty mug. She tried to make meaning out of it, but it was a little creepy..
