Finding Light In Darkness Novels & Stories

I was happy I had put a bunch of stuff in my purse for this. I began to look into the darkness again and saw a dim light at a distance, I watched the light as it’s all I could see through the darkness. It was a weird thought but the darkness reminded me of Darren he was so much in my mind and everywhere and I didn’t know what to expect in it. He was always unpredictable, I didn’t know what to expect from him one day to another. The light though it was warm and I could see clearly, it was what I was searching for in the dark.

She doubted that some eleventh-hour miracle would save her tonight. Christophe reappeared and shed his toweling robe in an untidy heap on the floor. He looked at her, blazing all-male satisfaction, and Lara shrank under the sheet. He stood half in shadow, half in light, the long, muscular planes of his golden body a glorious vision of rampant masculinity, and Lara felt her own hunger stirring, insidious as a secret invader.

All she can see is darkness. ‘Darkness again… If he’s really my family, why did he give into darkness? It doesn't want me to leave. But the only way to get out of this darkness is to follow the light through the darkness.
