“But we’ll find him, Cara. We’ll make it right. We’ll fix this.” “What if hunters get to him, Dom?” I question, my voice fading off into a whisper as a paralyzing anxiety cripples me. “What if w-we lose him forever?” “We won’t. Lucian is strong and smart; he will be okay,” he promises, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of my head. “I don’t know how to process this,” I heave as images of Lucian getting hurt somewhere out there or worse, not returning at all, the thought alone was turning my stomach inside out. “I’ve tried. I can’t, Dom.”

Wanderers Of the Night

Wanderers Of the Night

- Do you really need an answer to this question? “I heard that the Forest of the Damned has a Keeper,” Yarsi said slowly. “Not a human, not an undead, a soulless, indifferent creature, moving freely across Reeta, and able to calmly cross the Border. The Guardian has the power to intervene in everything that happens in this forest and next to it. Thousands of people prayed to him for salvation, but he never helped anyone, no one came back ... And you pulled me out only because I killed Alato and became his heir. - The keeper? I? Matter shrugged. - Yes, I watch Reeta, but I'm not in it all the time. And the fact that I was there when the undead attacked you is just an accident.

The Alpha's Broken Mate

"I've come a long way looking for you." Dominic and Rachel, my sentries, moved instantly onto either side of me. Their faces tight. The stranger raised his hands into the air and worn leather fell away, displaying symbols on his arms I did not recognize. Huge, its strap slung across his back, a pulsing ancient binding called to something buried deep in me. "I mean no harm," he said, his eyes locking onto mine. "I am Magnus Blackthorn, Keeper of Histories. And you, my dear, are far more than you realize."

Beneath Lagos Rain

Beneath Lagos Rain

Its voice echoed from every direction. Not loud. Yet impossible to ignore. Gabriel instinctively stepped in front of Amara. The shadow looked at him. "You still protect others..." "...while refusing to forgive yourself." Gabriel froze. "I know your heart." The shadow continued. "I have watched every generation." Amara gathered her courage. "What are you?" The silver eyes closed briefly. "I was once called Daniel." "A Keeper." "The first Keeper after Magnus." Hope nodded silently. "It is true." Amara's breath caught.

“As far as I am concerned, that is the end of it.” “Thank you,” Rohan relaxed, but he didn’t continue walking. Instead, he slid a look around them, before moving slightly closer to Talen. “I hear things, eh?” He said barely audibly. “And you should know that the witch Tabitha Marie confessed that Aislen Carter is the Secret Keeper, so August has gone to get her. I don’t think that they’re going to let the Triquetra leave and I just know that’s going to piss them off.”

The Forsaken

The Forsaken

The seller looks at the king with terror, scared to answer. "She is nothing I've ever seen before. It took us 2 months to finally catch her, and when we did she killed 5 of my men. I don't know what she is, but keep her guarded. She is not one of us. I will take my payment now." The seller holds out his hand, shaking, waiting for the coin purse to land, glancing from the king to the door. The king looks at him and throws the purse at him. The seller left before so much as a thank you.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Then Eryx looked around carefully. Then froze. Immediately. Then: "No." Silence. Then: "It can't be." Everyone turned. Then they saw it. A city. Massive. Impossible. Stretching beyond the horizon. Larger than kingdoms. Larger than empires. Golden towers touched the heavens. Crystal bridges crossed entire oceans. Ancient lights illuminated the darkness. Then Seraphine whispered: Then: "The First Civilization." Nobody spoke. Because the name alone carried weight. Then the Keeper appeared beside them.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

FERAL

Her broken jaw was completely healed now and she felt no trouble with it. Alpha Marcus was an arrogant man. He was also a pervert. It was his perverted nature that made him have his basement soundproofed. Adrienne had no doubt that the crash she had made would not be heard by the inhabitants of the floors above. Her only problem was the guards standing right outside.

The Lost Alpha

They barely knew each other, but he never wanted to be separated from her. They stepped into his room, the door closing softly behind them. Shaun watched his mate glide around his almost bare room, looking around. Her eyes stopped on two large drawings on the wall. Both were cities from a view that encompassed the entire city. The first one was the Nightstar Pack. The other was a city in snow-capped mountains. She looked at him, questioning him with her eyes. “It’s the two places I can call home. I drew the first view I had of Nightstar; the other is the last view I had of my original home.” “You drew them?”
