Chapter 3 Axel I was just finishing up in the bar. I had kicked the last few lads out of the bar at closing time. I was cleaning the counter and wiping the tables. We did have cleaners that did the cleaning, but I found it therapeutic. I was wiping the bar down when I heard a loud noise outside. I could hear men arguing. That’s all I need. I opened the doors and saw two men fighting. I ran over to them and grabbed both of them by their collars and dragged them apart. “What the fuck is going on? Erica opened the book slowly, didn’t knowing what to expect. The book also didn’t have any author name, as she opened the book she expected a whish of smell but it never came. The first page had bold letters written in ‘Kingdom Heaven’. Erica turned the page and saw some scribbled information about the animals, fruits and some history of the royalty in Kingdom Heaven. It was all too boring for Erica. She kept turning the pages leisurely. She didn’t find anything

My silver light expanded suddenly, pushing the True King backward a single step. The cavern went silent. The creature stared at me… surprised. “You resist,” it said. “I choose,” I replied, breath shaking but voice firm. For a long moment, nothing moved. Then the True King smiled. Not kindly. Not cruelly. But knowingly. “Then the age of kings begins again.” My stomach dropped. Before I could react, the enemy Alpha screamed. Dark chains erupted from the ground, wrapping around the ancient wolves one by one. “No!” I shouted. The Alpha laughed wildly. “While you were distracted… I claimed the ritual!”

Carlisle had said that each Kong had a record of all the things that had happened during his reign so I'll have to go to the beginning, the first King. I followed the line down and thankfully, there was a book at the end of the row. This was the oldest record here and I was hoping it was what I was looking for. I removed it from the stone that it had been laid on and sat on the floor, flipping page by page with Lawrence standing behind me, holding a flashlight. The book belonged to the first Alpha and Kong of the Lycan Kingdom. Things were still pretty good back then after the war that separated us from the Werewolves.

I turned to the first page and began to read. The first half of the book was mainly about the day-to-day life of the early days of the kingdoms. Samuel faced an enormous amount of pressure as the eldest son of a power landowner, and yearned for a better future for all. It was only a few pages in that I saw the first mention of dragons.

Sera blinked first. “…Did that say King Alaric?” Riven stared at the page. “It did.” Kael slowly looked at him. “There was never a King Alaric in our history books.” “There should have been.” Elara’s fingers trembled as she turned another page. The first chapter began with a sentence unlike any history she had ever read. ‘Before we were Moon and Crimson… we were one people.’ The room fell utterly still. Every lesson they had ever learned.
