⸻ “Genesis wasn’t just about power.” Mahina ni Victoria. ⸻ “It was about control.” ⸻ “The Four Families were the visible system.” ⸻ “But the Fifth Family…” ⸻ Tumigil siya. ⸻ “…was the correction mechanism.” ⸻ Nanlamig ang lahat. ⸻ “Correction?” tanong ni Christian. ⸻ Tumango si Victoria. ⸻ “If any of the Four Families deviated…” ⸻ “Zia was designed to neutralize them.”

Sa likod ko, nagsalita si Torren. “You’re not reacting.” “Correct,” sagot ko. “I’m processing.” Sandaling katahimikan. Then— “You’re supposed to be disturbed.” Lumingon ako sa kanya. “At you’re supposed to be in control.” She answered. "Ivy?"

Tahimik siyang nag-isip sandali bago sumagot. “Organizations like Ardent Consortium rarely operate as a single mind.” Napakunot ang noo ko. “There are factions,” dagdag niya. “Different interests.”

Or stand beside her. Yuhei’s POV “What’s the catch?” tanong ko. Adrian didn’t blink. “You’ll be required to prove alignment.” “Define alignment.” “Choose a side.” Napatawa ako nang mahina. “Between who?” Elijah leaned forward. “It’s not just us.” Of course it’s not. Mas malaki pa pala ang gulo. Adrian’s POV “There are factions,” sabi ko. “Old money. Military intelligence. Private financiers. Your father was stabilizing force.”
