Brian had reserved a table in advance at a steakhouse and set up a candlelit dinner. Calvin had been sent to the Xander family villa. In the private room, Xena and Brian talked about work and their lives. They smiled at each other. The whole atmosphere was warm and comfortable. Brian put down his knife and fork and opened an elegant gift box. Inside was a diamond necklace.
