I decided to drop in on Warrior Training, hoping they put on a damn better show than last time. Felix and Matt destroyed their opposition. Almost too aggressively, their self-control failing. Felix had to be restrained, his green eyes blazing with fury as they pummeled their opposition. AUTHOR'S POV The forest enveloped Xavier and his companions like a shroud, the dense foliage casting shifting patterns of light and shadow as they raced through the underbrush. The damp earth squelched beneath their paws, the rhythm of their footfalls echoing through the silent woods. Cameron, Devon, and the other warriors moved with primal grace, their wolf forms sleek and powerful as they followed their Alpha, through the labyrinthine maze of trees in their wolf forms.

Jax further wailed. “Oh puh- lease dude, you don’t even make it to the cut of being an ugly duckling,” Joy scoffed while beating the crap out of the wolf warriors of the enemy camp that had suddenly appeared to retreat back but were caught up with the sextuplets. Alpha Zoe and her mates were doing a fine job of trapping hordes of warriors at the other frontiers of the pack land and when the warriors found a small tunnel of escape at the Northern frontier, their hopes rose high but only to come crashing down when they noticed the witch army fighting off the naughty sextuplets and their Betas at the other end.

A couple of the warriors hesitated, but more pushed ahead, their eyes locked to him, filled with a bloodlust Luna Eleanor had inspired. Fighting wasn’t Connor’s forte. He was a wolf that used his charm to weave close to the enemy before striking them unaware. However, he had trained all his life. He was nimble and determined and he wasn't about to let some mere pups take him down. He wasn’t a wolf they should underestimate, but the way the warriors allowed one to push ahead of the others suggested they didn’t know who he was. Staying light on his paws, he waited as the wolf raced forward, past his peers, eager to be the one to take the first kill.

Turning my hand I was curious about why I was glowing then stopped abruptly as I looked skyward and saw the full moon shining above. “Have the others shifted?” I asked as I turned around and saw glowing sets of eyes in the forest. Grinning slightly I whistled and the eyes started to get closer. Huge Dire wolves stepped from the treeline and lowered their heads as they approached me. I ran my hand over their fur as they walked right up to me. “They are the Frost Cloud Warriors,” Killian stated in awe and I nodded at them looking at me. “Where is their king?” I inquired then glanced at the trees to see if Frost was coming to join his men.

Maya spit these last words, and the crowd roared, some laughing, some howling with rage. Sasha said nothing. She stood there, fists clenched, her eyes darkening. “You will not disrespect our union.” Her voice was a menacing growl, though a poor imitation of an Alpha. “Don’t ever forget your place, Rogue.” The Warriors laughed. Encouraged by their support, Sasha pointed at the pair of them. “Warriors! Do not let a pair of filthy Rogues disrespect your Alpha and his TRUE Luna!” The Warriors, their anger reignited, surged forward once more. They yanked Maya over the railing, and she was lost in the crowd. All I could hear were her screams of terror.
