His voice broke something inside of me. My chest tightened painfully, and my tears finally broke free. I covered my face with both hands and sobbed so hard I could feel my cheeks getting red. “No… please… I don’t want this…” my voice cracked with pain. “Please, just let me go… I didn’t do anything to you…” I yelled helplessly… but Gabe remained still. He didn't scream. He only watched me cry, like he enjoyed seeing me in pain. Obviously. What else could he possibly be so excited about if not watching people in pain?

But before he could even move, Krist grabbed his hands and pulled them so that he was forced to face him. His usual bright green eyes were red with tear stained cheeks. “Why have you been crying?” Krist asked in the softest tone he could manage. Guild washed over him when he realized that he exposed him when he was clearly trying to hide it. “It’s nothing serious, don’t worry about me.” He answered while rubbing his eyes and wiping his cheeks. “No one just cries without a reason. What’s wrong?” Krist was beginning to really worry about Singto.

I stare at her unsurely, feeling extremely uncomfortable. Seeing women cry always makes me uncomfortable, and the fact that she’s very vulnerable at this time just makes it worse. I walk up to her and pat her shoulders gently, and she leans into my arms to cry better, while I rub her shoulders and try to comfort her. “Um, just to be sure, those are happy tears, not so?” I ask her when she starts to get the crying under control. She pulls away from me, wipes her eyes, and smiles through her tears.
