Then, to the right, and at the end of a long row of books, one book jutted out from the shelf. I pulled it out. It didn’t have a name. It was a leather-bound volume, and its cover had a skeletal hand clutching a wilting rose. I opened the book, skimming through the pages. My stomach turned at some of the rituals inside. Selene was too arrogant, too vein, to resort to grave robbing, and there would be no need to stitch me together if her plan was to take over people’s bodies as she had before. The Binding.

The Ascension

The Ascension

Shaking her head, she said, "But aren't you only like that because you idiotically accepted an accursed book from a nobody? You said, you don't even believe in ghosts before you got that." He sighed and took out the book which always appeared inside his pocket for several months now. The book was giving off a mysterious vibe due to its black worn-out cover featuring a faceless monster. He got it from a fake friend who had styled himself as a book collector. Nathan was a horror writer so he accepted the creepy book. His initial objective was only to look for more ideas and inspiration. Who would have thought the horror writer who never believed in ghost would suddenly start seeing creepy ghos

Quite the unique story in this website. I have read until chapter 50, it's a nice fantasy that is also like just a slice of life, at times heavy, at times just like a breath of fresh air. Only problem is the expensive chapters. Good work though.

Shadows of the night

Shadows of the night

The remnants of someone’s bedroom that was long forgotten about crashed around us. We screamed in terror. I was beginning to fear the house was going to fall down on us. We continued to hear the sound of slamming and fighting happening through the house. I was clawing at everything to try and find an escape. Out of nowhere, a book dropped in my lap. It was old. It looked like it used to be cream colored with purple lace. This matches Gabrielle’s style. I saw a key lock. Suddenly, a key dropped from the binding of the book. It was a diary of some kind. I think Gabrielle’s spirit or someone wants me to have this. I shoved it into my bag and peaked out the door. I could tell it was still not s

GHOSTLY ENCOUNTERS

GHOSTLY ENCOUNTERS

Sitting down comfortably on my bed was the moon lady. I became light-headed and with a scream, landed on the floor with a loud thud, feeling so much pain coursing through me. "What do you want?" I whimpered. "I'm sorry for what just happened. Please, Ghostwriter, I need your help." "What!" My heartbeat hastened. "Please calm down. I know you must have questions about what killed me and how I knew I was gonna die." "Please leave me alone," I retorted, pulling the sheet to cover myself.

He Never Claimed Me

He Never Claimed Me

But the fear that had been gnawing at her for days pushed her forward. She opened the book. The first pages were cold, filled with business notes and travel schedules. But as she flipped forward, the handwriting changed—it became jagged, frantic, and deeply personal. Her eyes landed on a single sentence near the end: Some ghosts don’t stay buried because they were never dead. A chill crept down her spine, turning her blood to ice. Before she could process the words, the lights throughout the estate flickered once, buzzed, and died. The house fell into absolute, suffocating darkness.

i said, i was looking forward to what he was really going to say. "Do you know how is that possible? " he asked. "No i don't I'm confused too" i answered . "That means you have a ghost clone" he now revealed it. "what does that mean?" I asked again. He stood up and walked to where he used to out his books, he took a small but old looking book and came back to where he was sitting, next to me.

Ghost Alpha's Baby

Ghost Alpha's Baby

I jerked as I felt my soul jumping out of my body. Standing at my back, was a significant statue covered in white linen. I pressed my hand on my chest and said, in a low voice, ''No No No No No"' and stood still while getting myself as still as possible as it moved towards me with it's hands raised. I turned to glance at Melinda, seeing her mood made me wonder if we both were going to make it out of there. The figure stopped its motion, turning away from me, having picked up a bouquet of flowers and stretched towards my direction. Suddenly, it took off it's veil.

The Ghost Astrology

The Ghost Astrology

"I only know because that the god's light in the blood of my family is lost. My father said that and he didn't say anything more. I'm always curious about the reason for this story." Olivia started thinking about something, then she said: "I've read a book named "The god's light". That book mentioned the reason for changing blood. Mixing blood can create and destroy divine light." "Oh, You are so knowledgeable! I've even heard anything about that book. Where did you find that?" "In my grandfather's library." "Oh! Your grandfather? Who is he?" "hmm... He's just a normal person..." "You're lying! Your grandfather is not that normal, you're concealing the truth. Just... be honest with me, pleas

Steamy Fairytales Collection: An 18+ Dark Fairytales Series

I could still hear her moans of pleasure loud and clear as I passed her door. I got to my room and shut the door behind me locking it. I fetched the cloak from where I had tossed it and wiped at the dust. My heart accelerated as I saw the inscription on the front cover. It was some type of occult book for witches and Satanists. Barbra for all her beauty and perfection must be into this weird shit as a type of hobby or something. Whatever it was, I didn't care but of course, I knew there was something more.

Shadow Bound

Shadow Bound

While Bo has a shining white head free of even a single strand of hair and a short thin (mostly gray) facial hair and smells like golden spice. Gray is standing on the left side of a semicircle made up of him, Cordelia and Bo, with cordelia being in the middle, a few yards just ahead of us. Gray’s holding a long thick metal link chain in his hands, conversing with the two. Iselyn and I stop a few feet away, just close enough to alert them to our presence and hear the conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ever since I stumbled upon 'Ghost' in my local bookstore, I've been obsessed with Jason Reynolds' writing. The way he captures the voice of a young, troubled kid like Castle Cranshaw feels so authentic—it’s like he’s right there, whispering the story in your ear. Reynolds has this knack for blending raw emotion with just the right amount of humor, making 'Ghost' impossible to put down. I tore through it in one sitting and immediately hunted down the rest of the 'Track' series.

What’s wild is how Reynolds makes sprinting feel like a metaphor for life itself. The book isn’t just about running; it’s about escaping your past, chasing redemption, and finding your people. I’ve recommended it to every kid (and adult) who claims they ‘hate reading’—it’s that good. The man’s a genius at making words feel alive.
