Before I knew it my vision went black and I had woken up with a pit in my stomach. I dreaded today. It was Moon Harvest. The holiday of celebrating the Moon Goddess and showing her our gratitude. I needed to find a way to leave early from the celebration before Xavier realized I didn’t have a wolf. I refused to let my dream foreshadow what was to come. Tonight’s festivities would start with a feast at the temple of the Moon Goddess. All in the surrounding packs were invited to come. We would eat, dance, and say all that we were thankful for. The grand finale to the celebration was a kingdom wide shift into all of our wolves.

The light in her sigil flared violently. Kaelen grabbed her wrist. “What is that?” She met his gaze, fear breaking through her composure. “The moon’s calling. The Harvest Moon—it’s early.” He looked up. Through the storm, the clouds began to thin, revealing a pale red glow seeping across the horizon.
