Exasperated, he dismisses me, and I leave without argument. I promised Sherry I would take a shift at the bar, and I have an hour before I have to be there. Situated on the remote end of a plot of land belonging to the pack for more than a century sits a large three-story contemporary mansion. The pack house is modern, and has all the bells and whistles, conference rooms, office space, 17 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a fancy security system, full kitchen, the works.

Clint noticed her perplexed expression and continued, “Mr. Ford wanted you to have that. Consider it a pre-wedding gift.” “Mr. Ford has also arranged a new Porsche Cayenne for you with the mastery of artificial intelligence technology and self-driving capabilities and would like to know if you’ll be needing a driver,” Clint asked, staring at her expectantly. “Mrs. Ford?” He called, this time more softly. “Yes?” Hannah replied, breaking out of her thoughts. “Will you be needing a driver?” Clint asked again. Hannah stared at him and her expression softened, “What about you?” She said with a taunting smile.

"What consequences do I need to worry about?" asked Hannah without backing down. Brady looked displeased. He said, "I can shut down Everest Foreign Trade anytime. Get out of Gango, understand?" "D-Do you think Gango is your private property?" asked Hannah angrily. Brady laughed and replied, "Pretty much. I can ruin you. It's a piece of cake." He stared at her beautiful breast as he spoke. He did not hide his lustful eyes. Hannah backed away and covered her cleavage. She said angrily, "How shameless of you."

And that Alaric wouldn’t see me either. If this thing between us was coming to an end, then there was something I needed to get from him before I lost access to it forever. It was cold outside, the lights illuminating the compound beautifully. I headed straight for the parking garage, and the valet straightened as he saw me approach him. “Mrs. Ashford,” the man murmured. “Oh, good. You know who I am,” I replied flatly. “I need the keys to my husband’s car.”

She seemed out of breath at this point due to her ranting, but I just sat back and listened, nodding my head. “I’m sorry, I just need to get this out, but like she has this whole villain thing going on. She’s dead set on ruining someone, she won’t say who, but she has me calling her friends and telling them to meet her at these crazy remote places. I feel like an evil henchman, Alice.” The more Hannah talked about this Cynthia lady, the more I was growing angry for her. I opened up the mini fridge under the desk, and handed her a bottle of water, which she accepted gracefully, taking a huge swig before continuing.

I thanked him and left with orders for him to contact me with updates. I decided to see if Hannah was back from her run. I knew she didn’t know much about being a pack wolf and I thought we could get into the expectations of her as Luna. I ran into Jax as I entered the Pack house. I wanted to wave him off and head to my rooms, but I couldn’t scent Hannah in the house. She was still out on her run. “Hey, turns out that apartment complex has cameras. I was able to pull the recordings. I thought you might want to see this.” Jax said, gesturing for me to follow him.

You still would find Ol Tim’s rickety ford parked right outside his yard, not to forget the number of squirrels, that scurried around his home, threatening to run the man mad. Even right outside Mother’s Porch where I stood now, I could hear him screaming at the top of his voice, bellowing for the animals to let him be. Oh, how long it has been. Ding Dong!
