Two minutes, later the guard halted and spoke whisperingly in his walkie-talkie. ‘I believe you have the keycard!’ the guard stated and started walking back. Delicately, Zitani swiped the card in the door. When it opened, he walked inside a very expensively furnished lounge suite. He stood for a second before a very big mirror before choosing to sit when he suddenly heard the very familiar voice from the right corner of the suite. The voice startled the young man, and his heart missed a beat and suddenly sweat was felt on his brow. He felt confused and paralyzed, not sure what to do. The room which at first seemed too spacious, instantly shrunk and suffocated the lecturer.

Oliver, the secretary of the Director, walked in to announce the arrival of his boss and everyone straightened up, a hush falling over the crowd- partly to make a good first impression and partly out of curiosity to see who was the mysterious figure leading the business world. However, to everyone’s utter surprise, they heard the firm clicking and clacking sound of high heels against the linoleum floor which echoed down the hallway and got louder and louder as they inched closer to the conference room.

Nela said rolling her eyes. Lisa sighed but knew it was no good. Walking into the Great Hall she gasped. Above her five great chandeliers hung glistening and sparkling in the candlelight. Flowers in pedestals adorned every spare bit of wall and a band played music that Lisa didn’t know but also didn’t feel was too unfamiliar. Ahead she could see couples dancing on what was evidently the dancefloor. On the far side of the room huge glass doors opened up to an outside balcony where the drinks were. A few people turned to look at her but mercifully not many people seemed to notice she was there. She hoped the alcohol would keep it that way. She intended to stay only as long as was polite before

He indirectly puffed out utters that Wendell did not at all understand and after a while, the creature turned back at the door and without wasting any more of his and Wendell's time, he opened the door. Only Wendell went inside— he understood the procedure. Walking inside was silence and hundreds of yellow, black eyes ogling at his figure. Brows wrinkled with visible displeasure. The Great Hall was filled with creatures of different kinds, but most were small, grotesque, monstrous creatures— goblins. They whispered words that sounded like swears at each whilst their faces wore disgust at the sight of Wendell. Lava made a fall from the walls to make a swamp in the centre of the hall.

Big and dangerous that will no doubt have grave consequences for us all. Especially the one who has hired us all to this Facility. He is mad with a desire for eternal life. He has mages visit us sometimes to do different experiments on the Subject. What they do to him is beyond me. It sometimes appears back in its room with strange black markings on its body. After a few days though; the markings just disappear. This place fills me with dread, and I don’t know how much longer I can continue to work for these kinds of people. The work here greatly tests one’s faith in God.

This continued like that until they got to a huge double doors with ‘ THE GREAT HALL ’ engraved boldly on it. “ We have arrived at the Great hall your Majesty ” Zara said and Skyler just nodded her head. Just immediately she watched as the doors opened on its own and she swallowed as she prepared herself to face so many demons and demoness. When the door was fully opened the first person she saw was Lilith who was sitted on a throne and she had this sinister on her face when their eyes met.

Geth growled. We were all seated around a large round table in the Great Hall. A glittering chandelier hung above giving off an ambient glow. The room was lined in gilded wood and pictures of previous royalty from the seven magics hung precisely along the walls. I admired the newest. The soul of the fairy realm. Her name was Aurora. We met a couple of times. She was nice.

Wolves who believed the lie that I was weak, unworthy, replaceable. Their eyes flick to Liam, then to Fernando, then back to me. Questions burn behind their stares and I meet their gazes without flinching. The double doors of the Great Hall loom in front of me, tall and ancient, carved with moons and wolves that once stood for honor. I don’t knock, i don’t wait for anyone to pull it open Instead, I kick. The doors explode inward with a thunderous crack, slamming against the stone walls. Gasps tear through the hall. Music dies mid-note. Every head snaps toward me with immediate effect.

I was already standing by the door, dressed in a simple, high-collared gown that felt more like armor than silk. Lena was huddled in the corner, her eyes red-rimmed. I squeezed her hand one last time before stepping out into the hall. The Great Hall was a cathedral of shadow and stone. At the far end, the Council of Elders sat on a raised dais, looking like a row of gargoyles in woolen robes. Malrik sat in the center, his face a mask of smug righteousness.

Arthur muses to Jaden, who shrugs. “No idea,” Levi says, glancing at me nervously. Yeah. I’m nervous as fuck too, because I’ve got a sinking suspicion this has something to do with cleaning the girls up. We file into the great hall. There’s a raised platform at one end beneath the tall windows, and tiered benches along the long walls. In the middle is a cleared space, and on it sits a rectangular raised structure with a gap down the centre. I frown. What’s that for?
