Something that Ashley had put all the energy she had got to complete it. It was a competition open to all beings. Humans, Witches, Werewolves, Vampires.. all were welcome to join. But, no magic was allowed to be used to enter the competition. It would be assessed to be authentic with fair evaluation. A panel of esteemed judges would be present to perform the selection. Before Ashley could respond to Gina, she sensed someone was walking towards them. The scent was familiar and the sound of the heels belonged to one person Ashley recognised well. ‘No f*cking way.’ Ashley thought with hatred forming in her head.

Our company was one of the sponsors of the university's creative writing competition, so I asked him to speak to the organizers and change it to an on-site format with randomly assigned topics. My dad replied quickly and agreed. On the day of the competition, everyone looked flustered when the new rules were announced. I looked at Wendy, only to find that she seemed perfectly calm. Did she really have that kind of talent? I did not have time to think any further. The competition began, and by sheer coincidence, Wendy and I drew the same topic. An hour later, Wendy turned in her paper ten minutes before I did. After I finished writing, I handed mine in as well.

The smaller one gathered up the lighter things. I made a note of the plate number out of habit, and then unfolded the flyer and stared at it as they drove off. It was a cheap-looking photocopy covered with what looked like ads for horror movies that had been torn out of a newspaper, with hand drawn pictures of skulls and bats filling all the other blank spaces. Big swatches of text in old-fashioned fonts mixed with words made out of cut out letters from magazines covered the rest of it. Midnight Spook Party SEE the dead return!

His wrinkled face looked like it was crawling with countless wriggling worms. I shuddered and stepped back, whispering to Silvia, "Good thing I've got you. This place is terrifying." She snorted and suddenly shoved me forward, straight toward George. With an icy laugh, she said, "This pretty boy will make a great offering. You're going to love him." Before I could react, George gestured, and several eerie puppets stepped forward to pin me down and drain my blood. A sharp bell rang out, echoing through the night.

I decided to check on the invitation we had gotten about the annual competition where different kinds, kinds that had an alliance with one another. The Werewolves, Lycans and the ones that just joined recently, Witches. At each of the events there was archery, Sword fighting and the retrieval of each kind of flag from the Rak cave that was guarded by seven demons. Each year there was a new trophy that marked each of the winning teams. Sometimes it ended in death if one wasn't too careful with the demons but the people knew what awaited them whenever they volunteered. Yet no one wanted to end up with one of them hanging around their neck.

But who knew that the fantasy romance novel would suddenly get turned into a horror novel. 'Halloween's Party', a game where selected people gets chosen to participate in a supernatural survival game. Those selected people are called as the ‘Players’. It is said that if you complete and clear 'Halloween's Party' you will get what you desire. No matter the wealth, beauty, power or even immortality.

The competition was not merely a test of their physical prowess; it was a celebration of werewolf heritage, a chance to showcase the strength and resilience of their kind. As the first rays of dawn pierced the darkness, the Grand Arena buzzed with anticipation. The werewolves, their bodies tense and ready, awaited the signal to commence the competition. The air crackled with energy, a palpable mix of excitement and determination. Mary, Hael, and Kai, their hearts pounding in sync, exchanged determined glances, their resolve unwavering. The competition was about to begin, and the three young werewolves were ready to prove their worth.
