The sooner he and his pack are out of our lives the better. With Dylan's help, our search intensified. We tracked Adeline's movements across the territory, following her trail with Calliope's help and gathered useful pieces of information from our informants. Days turned in a week but things were starting to look up. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, we cornered Adeline in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of waterside pack lands, She fought back with all her might, but our pack was too strong. We subdued her and brought her back to our territory with the help of Dylan, we placed her in our dungeons with 2 guards down there.

She’s still near the chief, still within killing distance, but she’s injured which slowed her movements. I make a mad dash for her, quickly pulling a pistol out of my holster– aiming straight for the chief. BANG! BANG! Two thunderous gunshots ring in the air, for some reason, sounding heavier than the fighting in the background. But wait, my finger is still resting on the trigger… I didn’t fire those two rounds… My eyes widen in realization, my mouth dropping open as an agonized scream rips from my throat. I watch helplessly as Adeline stumbles and falls to the ground.

With the expression she used to look at Prey, her heart pounded heavily in anxiety. “They have found a donor. I have to go” Adeline talked less, turned backward and leaving. Even, if it wasn’t that Prey was Precious’s mother and she deserved to know the wellbeing of her son, Adeline didn’t want to respond. Prey was terribly annoying her.

He smirked before he vanished. “Adeline!” Hunt shouted while shaking me. I looked at him and then around the room, and I realized that I was back in the morgue. “Where’s Milka?” I asked worriedly. “Here,” Hendrix said, and I found my friend in his arms, unconscious. “What really happened, Adeline?” Hunt said, “There’s a man.” “Again?” he exclaimed, and I nodded. “Which man?” Hendrix asked, confused. “Wait, we have to take her to the hospital first.” then carry my friend before we leave.

"You're one of us, right?" We heard footsteps approaching the bathroom and she immediately released me. We were standing in front of the mirror when the door opened and a blonde guy walked in. He was Aaron. He stared at us strangely and said, ``I thought i heard something, Miss Wilson." I looked at Cathy who turned to the other side. "Nothing. Get out of here. This isn't the male's bathroom." I yelled and he walked out. I turned and saw Cathy seething in anger. Her eyes had turned light blue and I went into her thoughts. 'Hunters.'

Which was way behind the others. Straight and tall she stood in denim shorts. She was wearing a hat her hair lean and red were loose her beautiful eyes were keen and watchful as she waited.......until the buck’s head lifted again looking straight at her. A Startled snort and the buck sprang away and the others followed. The girl stood with her hands on her hips watching them go. She knew who was disturbing her, so she lay low and then squatted on her heels glancing around the glade. She followed the buck slowly again and moved with speed hiding behind the pine trees and bushes any normal human being who saw her would think that she was a witch.

I asked as I got up from the bed, walking towards the table in the room, I poured myself a cup of water as I waited for him to speak. "I found Miss Adeline." He tells me, I paused as soon as I heard that, he found Adeline? the same place Ran told me about? "Where is she?" I asked him, "I will send you an address now sir, it is an abandoned building on the east side, it is heavily guarded." He tells me. "Send me the address," I tell him and hung up the call, I looked at the time and it was already twenty minutes past 7 am.
