I gasp jumping out of bed and running to the closet. “No, silly woman. Training is cancelled today as most people only finished partying in the last couple hours, if they even finished yet,” he says. “No, there is something I did not get to tell you last night,” he says. I look at him concerned, “What is it?” I ask wondering if he changed his mind somehow.

While I said I loved him, he was already half a world away. Only when he lost me completely did he finally realize my worth. Jason spent an entire afternoon rummaging through a garbage station, searching for the things I threw away piece by piece. But too much time passed; everything was already disposed of. The only thing he managed to recover was a diary. In it, my twenty-something self wrote one simple line. "Jason is so silly. He really thinks I'd crash a wedding. If he can be happy, I'd absolutely bless him. Fool."

I can't pass out now, not at least on him. It's done, I fell and I don't know what is going to happen to me. ***********************

Chapter 73 I didn't have to work today because it was my day off. I had listed a lot of things to do but they were just little things around the house. I wasn't sure I would be able to step out but I included it anyway. I went downstairs to get a bowl of cereal when my phone buzzed. It was my calendar notifying me I have a coffee outing with Bella. "How the hell did I forget it?" I sighed as I went back to the room with the bowl of cereal in my hands.

I reached behind my dress and started pulling the zipper up. “Good morning." I hummed back. “Are you going somewhere?." He asked with a slight frown I sighed “I'm going to the training ring today... I don't want to go." “Then don't go. Come here." I was frozen to the spot. I had never missed a day of training or canceled for any reason at all. “What's wrong?." He asked with a deeper frown “Nothing, it's just that, I don't want to cancel."

Adrian’s Pov The next day, I did not reach for my phone first. That alone felt unfamiliar. I got up, went through my usual routine, and moved through the morning without checking for a message or thinking about sending one. It was not because I had stopped thinking about them. It was because I was trying to do something I was not used to doing, which was stepping back without turning it into another move. It did not come naturally.

I said to her, standing up from bed and taking myself to the cabineted freezer. "Work? I don't have anything to do today. Have you forgotten what the day is?" She asked, pulling her eyebrows together. "What's today?" She shook her head, and gave the word a smooth passage out of her vocal cord. "Sunday" "Oh wow… is Sunday… Sunday" it resounded in my ear and my mind paid attention to it, playing out a blurry image… "Sunday" I repeated the word, closed the freezer without any procurement and walked to the mini drawer at the side of the bed.

I didn't even think about him today and somehow that didn't stop him from orchestrating his way into my life. I exhaled into my palm and rubbed my face roughly. There's nothing spectacular about today. I take back my words.

And as much as I wanted to convince myself that it was all going to be okay, I just didn’t believe it. Things always go wrong in my life, so yeah. “It’s fine, I needed the sleep anyway.” He chuckled weakly, then took a sip of his coffee. “No work today?” I asked him after a few seconds, trying to distract myself from my mind. “Nope, I’m free today. Maybe I will hit the gym later, but for now, I’m free.” He sighed happily. “Mm-hmm,” I made the sound, proceeding to eat my cereal again. When I was done, a maid helped me with the washing of the bowl.

But right now there was no way I could go over to his office without him finding out. I'm really pissed at myself right now, and I don't even feel like eating anymore. I should have done the needful when I had the chance, but now there was no way I would be able to do it again for today. I'm sure that Connor and Hunter won't go anywhere else today. Honestly I really wished I knew their schedule for the day, then it would have been very good. But now I don't, so everything would really be hard for me to do.
